depends on what you mean by "stock". With the Torsen LSD that comes stock in some models, yes you can drift round a cone (ie donuts). Good luck and have fun trying!!

cool im picking up a mazdaspeed tomorow but i have to go steal a cone from someplace. all i see are those big drums nowadays and that definantly wont fit in the trunk.

nice man! im not going to try to give you bad advice, being im only 14, but i would say that you should watch the drift bible by Keiichi Tsuchiya. i think its on google video, just search for it. i watched it, and it helped me alot with my simulator drifting on Live for speed. and what wheels are those, i like 4 spokes. keep it sideways!

if you think you can't steer quickly enough you might wanna try installing a turn shortener(its called something like that) makes the steering wheel turn 1.5 turns lock to lock instead of the factory 3 turns lock to lock just a thought then again theres alway the free alternative MORE SEAT TIME! haha happy drifting an good stuff man

I think your problems with the switch back may be due to the fact that the car has perfext 50/50 weight balance ? im not expert but im just pointing that out :) , nice video - dan

Thanks Chris! I'll try that the next time. One of my other problems is to catch the swtichback properly, will have to work on that too. I think my countersteering is a little too slow. Unfortunately no time for seat time yet! =P Yeah it was great fun!! =)

sweet vid, I noticed you had some trouble getting the back end out coming into a turn, try yanking the handbrake before the turn, that'll get your back end out so you can drop the clutch and continue the slide around the cone.  looks like good fun though, nice music - well done,
