i think there is no problem with his form it looks very well. i think the problem lays with modern more americanized martial artist being to laxed. the poomsae was performed the traditional way the correct way.
While I am impressed with his sharp blocks and punches, my WTF instructor (6th Dan) teaches the front kicks are to be pushed in (to your opponents gut) and not kickign up, as it appears in these videos.
You have to understand the application of a kick, in this instance, pushing in the front kick wouldn't serve the purposed of demonsrating the kick.
Pushing in is for when you are attacking with the front kick and you need to damage or move your opponent. That would be unnecessary is just demonstrating a straight front kick.
I believe we will need to agree to disagree. We study poomsea to train both in discipline and muscle control. Our kicks/blocks/punches are as we would be in a fight.
many koreans dont do this, Your instructor teaches Correctly and by the book however aslong as the kick doesnt venture above his own head then its valid
wth this is kinda diff for a boy who has short term memory like me zzz

Two points to understand:
1. He is an older gentleman
2. This is the "official" demonstration of the Taeguek poomse.
