Wipeout HD - Sebenco Climb Tutorial

I just beat this thing with AG-SYSTEMS on Phantom-Elite. When I switched to this ship, I hit the walls SO much less often. For me, this was the best craft to beat this track.

After many, many, many, many tries, I can finally say I got this gold fair and square. I can also compare the experience, as I imagine, to driving a Ferrari around a scalextric track while people stone your face and piss in your eyes.

But I'm glad I got the gold.

i only achieved Bronze medal on Sebenco Climb (Meltdown / Phantom class) NOVICE . I picked every team, every technique, every adjustment and nothing works. I practice on the god damn speed trials i dont even hit walls.....immediately the A.I. leaves me in the dust. The only reason i got bronze is because the A.I. wiped each other out.

@Jellofreeze It's important to get good racing lines. For instance, the AI is very fast / cheats a little bit on that first hairpin, but if you get a perfect line, tight around the apex, you'll keep up. And then you can overtake by doing BRs.

Sebenco Climb is complete and utter bullshit. The AI nails every booster and turn perfectly, there is no room for a human player to maneuver since every instant must be spent lining up for a turn. After dozens of attempts I still cannot place above 7th in meltdown. Changing ships doesn't help. Those last 2 gold medals will never be mine.

@MasterExcellent I hear feisar's got some good handling, but I prefer harimau because of it's speed. But seriously, feisar helps. I tried it and got 5th. I can't beat it, but the best results are with feisar, and I DON'T use pilot assist.

@MasterExcellent I use Assegai, and that track was impossible for me. I decided to try with feisar. No luck. I decided to try with the Goteki 45, and after 3 hours straight, I got first place.

But in one thing I agree with you. Sebenco Climb is just plain unfair.

4:01 - You can Barrel Roll here without using the Turbo by pulling the ship's nose up.

I think I've lost some hair because of this track today. That was my first time on this nemesis of mine in a Rapier single race event during the campaign. It took me 8-10 tries to finally get the gold. I absolutely hate this track for the time being.

@InjectedWithAPoison Funny you should mention that. I'm in the same postion right now and I'm sitting sad with a Bronze and many last place finishes. What craft did you eventually win with? Maybe it would be helpful to know.

I just noticed that you can still barrel roll after jumping down the last dip of this track while pulling the nose up. For Venom and Flash class only.

This course is really annoying on Eliminator. The sharp turns make me crash and stall a lot, giving my my opponents a prime chance to smash me with missiles or proton blasts.

Ideally you shouldn't, but it's a good way to regain control if you overdo a sharp corner. Just for a split second though.

Umm when you do your tutorials it would help if you state where and when it's best to let off the gas (accellerator). cause I dunno if there are parts you need to do this when you say using the air breake and let the Momentum carry you through (momentum could be translated as don't press the gas peddle)

I do mention it in other videos. The fact that I don't in this particular video means you don't let off the thrust at all :)

There are very few situations where you should be letting up on the thrust, usually only in the most difficult of corner series. While Sebenco Climb is riddled with sharp corners, there aren't really any that need you to let up on the thrust.
