  • This song is meant to be heard LIVE!! Now, if they would just break out The Necromancer one time, my live Rush mission will be complete.

  • Until 'rush' plays the 76 live version of bytor snow dog this song it is not complete or near epic.. It must travel through tobes of hades, journey mile long sheets of ice, and blast off into mind blowing acid blues. First part didnt sound important (no intermediate glacial periods) melting

  • @dannyhood66 I feel ya on that, but I will take what I can get!!

  • WOW!! Alex's solo during the battle is far more incredible live than on the album!

  • I love it when bands cartoonise themselves.

  • lifeson is superb !!! and very funny !!! as are all of this great band

  • great to see them pull one out of the vault.

  • just before i saw this... i thought... what they do with these clothings??.....

  • I think Alex might have to go # 2 during this performance... :)

  • THEY DID BYTOR AND NATRUAL SCIENCE AT THIS SHOW GOD DAMN

  • I once got my shirt dirty at a Rush concert! Damn ashes!

  • at a rush concert... there is no such thing as a dirty shirt

  • AT THE TOBES OF HADES, LIT BY FLICKERING TORCHLIGHTS!!

NIEL, GEDDY, AND ALEX ARE PLAYING THIS SONG!

  • Geddy throws like a girl! haha just kidding RUSH kills!

  • I saw them do this at a local CC when it came out back in '76. I was dying to hear it live and they sure didn't disappoint. Me and my friends were sitting in the shadow of Geddy's nose. We could have literally reached out and touch them at times. We had the respect to not do so though. These guys were like gods to us.

  • hey rollthefemers how many rush shows you been to?

  • @PeeceSells I've been to only four in total. One time on the Snakes & Arrows tour (2007), another on the Snakes & Arrows: Live tour (2008), and twice on the Time Machine tour (2010).

  • @RollTheFemers oh cool, i was gonna go to LA show in a few days but stuff came up...got the documentary though its preety awesome :)

  • @RollTheFemers Where did you see them on the time machine tour, because I saw them in Tampa,Florida and was wondering where you saw them, that was an epic tour...

  • LMNAO!! Geddy throws shirts like a GIRL!!!! LOL.

  • What a great song. I am so glad that they still do this one live.

  • Song is so tight, one of my favorites, nice ending.

  • I think this was one of their first shows after Neil returned from his five year "retirement" when all that bad stuff happened with his daughter and his wife. They seem so happy because they were good friends, never considered replacing him, as if they could, and patiently gave him the space he needed to get back on track and thank God he did. Love these guys!

  • @Satonica Jeez, how do you replace neil, dave lombardo maybe, or Bill Bruford or Vinnie Colaiuta, but how would you replace him?

  • @metalfiend124 --You're absolutely right! You don't replace Neil. Can't be done. Would not be accepted, and doubtful it would even be attempted. Rush IS the synergy of Neil, Geddy and Alex. Take away one? It ceases to be Rush. Have a good one!

  • @Satonica You too, thanks. Rush rules.

  • Rush never forgets fans like darryl and I! Long live RUSH!

  • Changing the loads!

  • this is truly Throwing a dog a bone! Nice post man!

  • Damn Damn,,,Damn,,, I used to blast this when I was a kid,,and they dug it out and played it LIVE,Many Many years later,,,one of the many reasons I love Rush..

  • Oh BTW, even RUSH themselves can't stand CD's as a medium.

  • LOL, I love how Neil is portrayed in the animation. Hahaaa :)

  • Thanks for this awesome performance.

    RUSH rules!

  • Rush is a beast.

  • Ahh... I remember my good friend Geoff dragging me to this tour after I'd kinda faded as a Rush fan.

And I clearly remember the top of my head blowing clear off as they kicked into this.

I love that they started dragging some real golden nuggets out of the past - deep tracks they hadn't played in 20+ years during this tour

  • great playing, great show. Cool how they can have fun and play so well at the same time- genuine chemistry.

  • Pass me a shirt Alex!!!!

Great playing by the three guys themself!

  • Haha, at 1:51 u can tell geddy wants to burst out laughing

  • i HATE how they show the gay worthless jumbo screen above the band

i want to see Alex playing

  • @ACEBAKER911 just what is a "gay" worthless jumbo screen?? Not too bright are you?

  • yeah you can tell in his voice. lol

  • I know now they use special ear plug/ sound filters

  • Only Alex Lifeson can make a big old acoustic electric sound THIS GOOD!!!!!!!!

  • Its awesome that they can have so much fun doing this just goofing off.

    Rush Forever

  • lighten up

  • Uh did you think i was being serious? It was a joke - a lame one i admigt but, an attempt at a joke. Alex does not suffer from incontinence nor does he have to 'clench up' that i know of .....

    sarcasm

    I

  • hhaha geddy has no arm lool

  • check out Alex's jig at aboot 2:30 funny as hell and they were having so much fun that night :D
