  • the tutorial isn't bad but you don't show us where you connected your first combinator or reverb, and when you skip to explaining us how to connect the 808 & such we don't exactly know how to arrange the rest of the effects you put. You skipped too many steps, which makes it more difficult to understand. So could you please actually go through all the steps. Or else this was not to hate, but a waste of time!

  • ive been masking reason beats for 5 years, I got a new chanel with new instrumentals check it out! its like urs but better ;)

  • All musical software are better than others in different ways, whether its more user friendly, more options, etc. But as ShapeshifterMusic pointed out, it doesn't really matter what you use, because you can make a professional song if you are a musician, For example Deadmau5 mainly uses FL Studio, and well he makes millions xD

  • i got the free trial but im going to get it in 1/6 days

  • The Reason 3.0 work in Windows 7?? thanks.

  • @chelao reason 3 is old now, reason 5 is the latest, a lot of features are added, and it works with WIndows 7 32 or 64 bit, and believe me, it's really worth the money or time!

  • @AORNOfficial yes.. but i have many projects whit Reason 3... And when i open in Reason 4 isnt the same. The Reason change somethings in time of the instruments.. And Reason 5 is high. For nothing. I use Reason 3 ever. Thanks for the attention. Sorry my english.

  • Kind of a noobish question, you need a MIDI keyboard to use Reason? Because Ive been messing around with it, but Its hard to create a melody on the piano roll without keyboard.

  • @HardBik3 It'd make life easier

im itchin to ditch fl studio dogg

  • copy the crack file into the folder where you installed Reason

  • shot for tha help but it still didnt work

  • I got a great idea!! buy it!!!

  • u went out of your way to waste your own and my time..shut up fatboy.

  • demon tools.

    i little bit complicated.

  • @tribalwarfare62

You need to download DAEMON Tool Pro....The reason file you downloaded should come with three files titled 'Reason 3.0 CD 1 .ISO , Reason 3.0 CD 2.ISO and Reason 3.0 CD 3.ISO'...Open DAEMON Tools Pro and through Daemon Tools locate the folder where those Reason 3.0 CD file's are located and select all three (Reason 3.0 CD 1-3.ISO) they will be 'mounted' in Daemon tools...

  • @tribalwarfare62

Next, run the install and when the program says 'Waiting for Disc' click Reason 3.0 CD 1.ISO and it should progress the installation...When it says waiting for disc again, click Reason 3.0 CD 2.ISO and again when prompted click Reason 3.0 CD 3.ISO and you should be good to go...Hit me up if you still have problems, I will try to help...

  • thanks for your video found it really helpfull, one thing i didnt get was the combinater, what would you be using that for and where do you find it within reason?

  • I started on FL6 many years ago and then moved onto Reason 2.5. I carried on with ONLy Reason until it reached its fourth version. For wave capabilites I rewired my Reason 4 to FL Studio 8 XXL and now my set-up is way more powerful than I thought I could make it! I got loads of plugins in FL so all I do is generate my sound in Reason, play and record it in FL using Edison and finalize my composition directly in FL. Then I'll export my sounds into Live 8 and have a jolly good time! aahh Perfect!

  • hay dude u produce music i also do we can talk write me back

  • Your comment sounds good & i hope you can help me out. What i' simple looking for is to slave Reason to FL 8,get the sounds on FL master(not left & right). The otherway = I Realised After reading your comment is,i can record the sound i need from Reason to FL- using Edison. I also need the POWERFUL SET UP.

    Thanks.

  • Make Reason a slave of FL. I usually put my rewire device into Channel 1 of the FL Mixer and in that channel I stick an Edison into it. All sounds coming from Reason will go into CH1 of FL Mixer where its being recorded by the Edison. You CANNOT assign each instruments from Reason to its individual FL channel which means all Reason instruments can only go onto 1 channel. From edison you can then stick what you recorded onto the playlist. Find out how to use the Rewire device in FL on youtube.

  • i find that few of its plugins aren't my type of sounds at all....unless i was making retro music on purpose lol

the drum kits + refills are sick, but i avoid drum loops bcuz i'm not a lazy music producer! haha

btw, when ppl talk crap about FLS8 they really dont know how to produce music. period.

    i have PT8, Cubase5, FLS 8PE and Reason 4 so whatevers, mayne,,,

    MUSIC needs professional VSTs :)

  • Every sequencer has positive and negative sides, I belive reason is really nice coming with a lot of sounds and stuff, but fl studio is more user friendly and support vstis wich is a big solve to many problems, i wouldnt really compare theese two, I rather use them together trough rewire :D

  • FL is so plastic. Reason is more... realistic :D

  • how do you open up a new instrument like on reason 4 with the tool window. I cant figure out how to ues nn xt. Is this allowed on reason 3 adapted

  • Comment removed

  • how u get that

  • not user friendly.

  • @kalikatura1

    LOL

if reason is not user friendly, tell me a user friendly music program! rly dunno why ppl often say that reason is hard to handle...

man, its one of the most handsome program out there!

try reactor or sth .. u will say "maaan, reason is soooooo easy" after that.

the virtual rack design of reason makes it rly easy to get into music production.

and if u only sit one hour @ music making, u won´t understand any other prog aswell

  • yeah i used reactor in music school, its a difficult interface to pick up

  • reason is MUCH more user friendly than frootyloops... in my humble opinion

  • @psy0nyd3 It does seem like it. I just started messing with it

  • @psy0nyd3 I think that's not true :D

  • @psy0nyd3 i guess it depends how well u cn work with it ... as 90% of reason sers prefer to create each sound from initialized synth patches :)

  • lmao yeah i know what you mean... when I first started using reason it was confusing to me so I can see how people could say that... BUT once I figured it out its actually REALLY simple and easy to use... it justs non user friendly because of the way its set up and when you first start using it its overwhelming cause reason can do so much stuff... but once you get the hang of it its easy.

  • you use reason as an engine and route it through protools which I believe is user friendly I also heard you can route it through cubase which is very easy to use if you know what a matrix edit is.

  • NOT true, I have experience with most big music making programs out there, and I have to say that 1. FL is for begginners and has many limits, and 2. that reason, is one of the best, and hardest to figure out program out there. I reWire reason into ableton and its the best thing ever. Once you LEARN TO UNDERSTAND MUSIC PRODUCTION then come back to reason.

  • I think Reason's good, but i prefer FL. and don't even say it's a beginner DAW because thats what people say about it whenever they don't even sit down for 2 days on it. Trust me, I've been working with FL for 3 years, and it can make professional music as good as Reason can.

Plus, it doesn't matter WHAT your using. It depends on the MUSICIAN. For instance, a good guitarist could make an 80 dollar guitar sound good

FL works with the artist allowing better production for beginners and experts

  • @ShapeshifterMusic yeah all the daws are pretty much the same shit, it depends on the person and how they use it..,theres no such thing as a beginner daw..

  • I do agree. Any trained engineer would know that FL is for beginners. I think pro tools 8, (industry standard) logic pro, reason 4, and ableton are the best softwares out there.

  • Take note. All the people that gave you a 'thumbs down' vote are probably offended FL users, lol. Still, you are very right. Fruity Loops is definitely for beginners.

  • Very true.

  • I agree, FL is no good. Reason is my one of my favorite BUT it is not hard to figure out. Also it gives routing possibilities when the rack is flipped. Pro tools 8 and reason 4 is what i stick to.

  • with FL studio you don't need to know your instruments inside out thus its for users who don't know the importance of sound control in the sense that you settle for any sound you get which means you are unable to get the exact sound you want which results in 2nd best. I use both Reason 4 and Fl Studio 8 XXL and I certainly know the difference between the perfect sound and 2nd best sounds. FL studio is limited in its sound engineering capabilities but stronger in its sequencing so I use Rewire.

  • i 2 have both peices of sotware, reason has got better synths but no thiird-party plug-ins and fruity has ridiculous wave editing capabilites, truth is its not about the software its about the producer

  • I definitely agree. It depends on what kind of producer you are also. I am not satisfied with my tracks if my sounds are not perfect to me. FL does have really good wave editing capabilites, and I will go as far as to say its one of the best I've seen so far in terms of wave editing! Automation sequencing however is not that good and it can get very confusing! At least for me!
