Its written as Malik but spelled as Marik in its jap ver., since there's no L in Japanese; they spell L's as R's. Yami means "dark" in Japanese, so its used for both. For example; the dark Malik is called Yami Malik :P

IMHO Joey and Mai could have been a couple except for the fact that he kept shying away from her and acting silly. I guess that's why she ended up with Valon. I mean ... if a guy acted like that every time I stepped to him, I'd go looking elsewhere too.
