The only thing that I am disappointed about this movie is that it didn't come sooner in my life.
I literally lost everything in my life after high school and after watching this film for the first time in 2008, I was so motivated that words cannot explain how great it felt.
@TheJimmykaka nah i mean you're over here callin me out in shet and you're not makin any fuckin sense dawg. are you tryin to argue wit me nigga or wtf? you're tryin talk big nigga, but you not makin any fuckin sense
@TheJimmykaka you know what man you proved me wrong. little 14 year old kid thinks he understands the world saying that some people are just too stupid to understand a message from a movie. i mean you can reply to me in simple little ass sentences kid, but you're not really backin up to what you're sayin. if you wanna be real dawg, you gotta back up what you say. otherwise you're not being true to your self. the way you're replying to me nigga, you don't know shit dawg
love the part where hes almost out of it and he needed to think about what he said to his kid and told himself to "to get up" and give it one last take.... These Rocky series are to remain a classic to all Generations....
The storyline of Rocky's life shouldve ended with the closing credits at the end of Rocky 4.Rocky 5 ruined the entire storyline of Rocky's life with him losing everything he had gained and achieved, his entire multi-million dollar estate gone and ending right back in the slum neighborhood he fought his way out of,ending broke and broken up.Rocky 76 up to Rocky 4 shouldve been it.Rocky 5 and 6 just should've never existed.Rocky 76 to Rocky 4 was the American Dream, the pinnacle of success
@undergroundbasement dont think you understud whats it is all about. In the last rocky he says that its not how hard you hit it is how hard you can get hit and keep moving. he lost hes money he lost hes wife and all hes got its hes son and hes passion for boxing and rocky 6 came out to be a great movie beacuse it gives people motivation to ''take te punches and keep moving even if you nearly down there is going to be something better at the end''
@Huntary I understand the moral of the story , as I've watched them all. Most everyone I grew up with feels the same way,Rocky 4 should've closed the book on the Rocky storyline.Rocky 1 -thru-4 is a great storyline on the American Dream of rising from nothing to greatness. Furthermore,Stallone has said in multiple interviews in years past that he regretted making Rocky 5.The Rocky 6 story would've never been had Rocky 5 never been made.Storylines tend to mean more to some than moral points do
I think the people who didn't like this movie are probably too young to really get the message. Trust me, if they watch this movie again in their 40's (or even in their 30's), they'll be singing a different tune.
I am proud to say that after seeing this movie not mention I have seen all the Rockys. But this one is a movie I now live by and have adapted my life to.
Love this film, very underrated film in my opinion. One of the most inspirational films made. A lot of people probably won't agree with me on that but this film hits you hard and makes you be inspired to go out there into the world and not let words or anyone bring you down.
im sure you all know this already but sly and antonio filmed the fight at the hopkins taylor match in vegas, but unlike any other rocky film the entire fight was shot with real punches and real misses no phantom punches at all in the whole fight. even the last round gatti/ward look alike full force shots INCREDIBLE~!!!!
To me, Rocky 6 was one the best movies stallone have made. Because it is not about those who have reached the sucess in the life, but for those who is trying, those who being trying with all kind resistence against themselves.
i dnt agree cause u got it all wrong he's been to tthe top he's had everything he's wanted the whole point of the movie is to fight last tym to clear the pain an that he's got
Why did Rocky need a boxing license to fight Mason Dixon in an exhibition fight? I mean the fact that it's an exhibition hence non sanctioned by the boxing commission relieves them of all responsibility if Dixon hurt Rocky or am I wrong?
The movie's message wasn't about winning that fight, but how you stand up against impossible odds, and no matter how hard they hit you, you don't quit, you keep moving forward.
Also, as a side note, remember the "computer fight" was won by Rocky after the 12th round. Now look at Tarver at the end of the round. "Ready to go" sums it up pretty well.

If it's not about winning then why the fuck would Rocky Balboa go through hell just to prove himself?
It may not be about winning for the title but winning over the voice in his head that tells him he "can't".

O.K.... Rocky Balboa as a person isn't all to realtistic! BUT IT'S JUST SO INSPIRATIONAL!
If a movie can make you see life in another way and make it better. THAT FILM IS AWESOME!
QwertzProductions 2 years ago 6
How is Rocky Balboa as a person not realistic? I believe Rocky is really about Sylvester Stallone. These movies came straight from Stallone's heart.

Why did Rocky need a boxing license to fight Mason Dixon in an exhibition fight? I mean the fact that it's an exhibition hence non sanctioned by the boxing commission relieves them of all responsibility if Dixon hurt Rocky or am I wrong?
ProfessorHobo 3 years ago
Might be wrong; but anyway,
Rocky wanted to box first. Just start boxing again, small time fights nothing big.
Its only after he gets a boxing license that the promoters come finding rocky to hold an exhibition match.
