  • It's one thing to compare newbies like Zola Jesus and Fever Ray and a WHOLE OTHER thing to have the audacity at comparing the glorious Siouxsie with a singer that calls her 10 year old fans, "little monsters", puh-leeze!! Gaga is nothing more than a cheap imitation of pop on fruity looped replay. Even Irene Cara could be more convincing with a new wave or goth personality than LG. That's sad. Leave the TRL comments under the right videos, because they do NOT belong here. LONG LIVE SIOUXSIE !

  • @SquareTakeover wow irene cara, talk about someone showing their age with that reference lol

  • Why Lady Gaga fans are arguing with Sioux fans? And, more weird than this, why are they comparing the two ones? Gosh, there's nothing in common between them - Gaga is pop, Sioux is punk, and they don't care about this useless and nonsense discussion! Please grow up and discuss about important things in lifetime!

  • good... like the random bass

  • Who all remember's watching 120 minute's every Sunday night with Matt Pinfield.....then staying up late behind your parent's back's to watch Liquid Television...Those were the day's >.>

  • damm she is so hot

  • love this

  • thumbs up if your here cos of jeepers creepers!

  • Whew. This cleaned my ears of Lady Gaga.

  • @spinningthirdeye Just what is it that people have against Lady Gaga? For your information, I am both a Little Monster AND a fan of Siouxsie and the Banshees, so you can't say that I'm just a hater or a troll. And if you'd bothered to watch any of Lady Gaga's live performances or listen to some of the tracks on Born This Way, or even The Fame Monster, you'd see that she has quite the rocker edge. Plus, she did start out in the rock scene, in case you didn't know.

  • @gangurogeisha Born this way is also a blatant ripoff of Madonna... to the point where it isn't a homage or tribute, just a load of recycled crapola.

  • @RockaBanner Nice try, smart-ass. There hasn't been a completely 100% original idea in the pop music industry in years, maybe even decades. So in a sense, everyone basically copies everyone else. Honestly, I don't give a fuck about stupid shit like who copies whom. It doesn't really matter, so you're not going to bother me with that kind of crap.

  • @gangurogeisha Ok take a breath there Nancy. Better?

Gaga is terrible, none of this "oh yeah but she knows how to write a chorus" "she's a pop queen" "she's got the right formula of rocker edge with a pop flavour"

She's just shite, total and utter SHITE.

  • @RockaBanner Okay, first off my name's not Nancy. Secondly, I like Lady Gaga, and nothing you say will convince me to do otherwise. You're just as entitled to have your own opinion. However I can't help but notice that I have said nothing hateful about Siouxsie, while you have had nothing but bad things to say about Lady Gaga, and this isn't even one of her videos. Lastly, I believe the word you meant to type is spelled "s-h-i-t" :)

  • @spinningthirdeye your comment made my day.Not necessarily of the dis but, just sick of all the other b.s. u hear in the media.

  • My name is BansheeMilk and I approve of this message

  • all thats missing is joel grey in a nazi tuxedo

  • Great song.......................

  • Even better than Fever Ray ! Long Live Siouxsie !

  • From back when MTV played videos, and when 120 minutes was actually a ground breaking show on late at night for the alternative crowd. Before there were vcr's and tivo, you actually had to stay up to watch it.

  • @scrotillathehun You say 'fag', you say 'homo', where did that come from? The moment I slag you off you talk about gays. I think there's something you're not telling us; why did you bring up homosexuality?

  • ?this is such a brilliant song & video!

  • Pointless.... perhaps that is exactly the point! Music can simply be.... fun. Right? I mean we are talking about music, not the freakin' cure for cancer........

  • @scrotillathehun Did you not pick up on the concept that Beavis and Butthead were complete fucking morons and that the songs that they liked were imbecilic. I'm guessing that you couldn't comprehend anything that complex.

  • Comment removed

  • This was my favorite song to jerk off to.

  • @scrotillathehun no, i was a single mother in her early 20s trying to scrape money together for rent in nyc & raise my daughter, and go to college. sorry i wasnt wasting my time with my eyes glued to mtv.

  • @scrotillathehun You do understand that Beavis and Butthead are fictional? Mike Judge didn't have to hate a song for B&B to mock them...

  • @scrotillathehun who the f*ck listens to those idiots anyway?

  • 51 people are still hiding

  • i live out in the boonies so when i go outside at night its a lil creepy but since this song is stuck in my head i sing it and im not scared :D

  • Comment removed

  • perfect studio song

  • Peek a Boo \o/

  • i don't know why i used to like this crap. sure she's a woman, and it's nice that chicks make art, but the lyrics don't speak to me at all. they're fucking pointless, and this chick was old, even at the time. what the fuck were we stupid ass youth thinking? oh, the record companies say this is good and "classic" and goth so we should listen to it. pffffftttttt!!!!!!

  • This song must have been pretty avant garde in 1988. 'cse it is basically hip-hop married with alternative rock and dance music. Beastie Boys fans must have enjoyed it too. It is quite rare that a song manages to make a cross-over, seducing both people into hip hop and people into alternative rock. It still sounds incredibely fresh today.

  • @boomercut first off no one said hiphop back then except retards and this is nothing like hip hop. it's a techno beat and that shit has been around since human league and before.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork 1. the word 'retard' is ignorant and wrong. 2. if you are going to act like you know about something, please LEARN first.

It's NOT a techno beat, and saying 'that shit has been around since human league and before' makes no sense. If you don't know admit it; don't try to patronise others who also don't know. You are an ignorant twat who pretends to know more than they do. Embarassing.

  • @Spankabuttux <------------FUCKING IDIOT

You haven't nary a fucking clue as to what the fuck you are talking about, Goon. I was spinning this 'type of music' in manhattan beach back in 88 while you were still 13 years old ya poo sniffing faggot ball licker.

The beat is is clearly a 4x4 timed techno beat as was a ton of other stuff around this time, so It is clear that you're lacking the proper mental acuity to comprehend. Let me know when you've bought some more neurons loser.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Yeah, you were using the word 'Techno' all the time when you were 'spinning' this type of music in '88. I've embarassed you, sorry, but that's what happens when you pretend to be more than you are. You've made a mistake in replying to my comment, a mistake I am sure you will make again (as well as the one I am aware of above).

  • @Spankabuttux Why woudln't I use the term techno you inane fag? We had a night club in L.A.(in city of industry) back in 84 called "techno-polis". There is a major hollywood movie called VALLEY GIRL where nick cage talks about the kids listening to techno. So how would I be making up the term as if it didn't exist, fucking idiot?

Why would acts have techno remixes back then? Razormaid, zyx, etc. etc.

Please get a brain transplant stupid. You've been exposed as a fool.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

Another thing, the term techno has been around a long time. I think kraftwerk had a record called techno-pop in the late 70s or early 80s. We used to call a lot of the stuff from 83-89 techno. This was 80s techno, not the rave era shit from the 90s.

    case closed

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork 'Techno' is a shortened form of 'technology', do you understand? 'Techno' music is completely separate. And did not exist in 1984. So you not only say 'retarded', you also say 'fag'? How red IS your ignorant neck?

  • @Spankabuttux The term TECHNO was around since 82 or earlier. This is why other artists started using this name. We can thank kraftwerk.

"In 1982, Kraftwerk began work on a follow-up album to its successful and influential Computer World. This new album initially had the working title Technicolor, but this name had to be abandoned because that title was a trademark. The proposed title was changed to Techno Pop. Bootleg recordings of the songs "Techno Pop" and "Sex Object" that claim to be...

  • @TheUWF demos from these early sessions have been circulated over the years, each with a noticeably different production sound from the final album."

And then From 1984. Ha Ha Ha

"Kraftwerk: Techno Pop, promotional photograph of proposed cover design, EMI; 1984"

    upload . wikimedia . org/wikipedia/en/c/c4/T-E-front . jpg

  • @TheUWF So if Valley girl came out in 1983. If Nicholas Cage was talking about techno music back then like the new music network says, how would techno not have been a musical term back then when he was talking to her snotty friends about their music taste?

I would like to add my own 2 cents here,

I specifically remember in the movie Terminator from 1984 there was a club called TECHNO CLUB where futuristic music was played so even back then it was known in america.

  • @TheUWF and Spankabuttux, The term was obviously used in a musical sense. I am not trying to make you look bad here. You are doing that well enough on your own. But please do some research before you open your mouth.

  • @TheUWF looking back at the origin of this argument, that is pretty rich, coming from you...

  • @TheUWF In what sense am I doing that myself? You have an agenda that is clear, don't pretend to be a partisan arbiter, you are clearly not. If you want me to do research tell me what I am missing, if you can...

  • @TheUWF So a 'techno beat' is the same now as it was in 84? No. 'Techno' is a kind of 90's dance music, and a 'techno beat' is referring to that. 'Electronica' on the other hand was the descriptor for 80's keyboard acts.

  • @j0nas2781 This is one of her best songs.

  • @Spankabuttux Not only are you retarded but you clearly suffer from oligophrenia(extreme mental retardation).

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Are you aware of how ridiculous this post is? "I've looked up a word and used it, then explained what it means". That is so embarrassing my toenails have died.

  • @Spankabuttux lmao Nothing like cogent, well-reasoned, articulate, intelligent, discourse. But then if YOU are not capable of that...

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

Hey no, it has hiphop accents : the NME said it back in 1988 and they were not retarded back then. The thing was also inspired by a visit of Siouxsie & Budgie in the streets of Washington in 1987 when they witnessed kids having fun by singing a cappela.

  • my fav siouxie and the banshees song

  • Wouldn't it be cool if there was T V channel on TV that did videos?

  • ا نال مل کے دریاۓ نیل چ ہڑ دی وجہ بندا رہئیا پر 1970ء چ اسوان ڈیم دی اساری دے نال ای ایس سلسلے دا خاتمہ ہو گئیا ۔

  • Although this song is one of the weirdest I've ever heard, it has a magic charm (maybe Siouxsie's flawless voice) that attracts me to it... Long live Siouxsie &The Banshees

  • OK,,,SURE,,,DUTCH IS POSTING A SONG EVERY MINUTE??????? HE NEVER POSTED A SONG THE WHOLE TIME I SEEN HIM,,, NOW HE'S INTO "SOCK PUPPET " MUSIC??? ANYONE ELSE WANT TO CHIME IN?

  • 48 people are suffering from post peek a boo stress disorder!

  • Gosh, Beavis and Butthead! I remember them. Fucking awful, as I recall.

Great song but can't top the glory of the first album. The Scream an all-time classic.

  • Jeepers Creepers : D

  • Hey, Beavis, you ever play 'Peak-A-Boo' with your wiener?

  • @BrokenHorn90" this is the music you like, listen to if you have no friends"

  • @Ramonajunie3 Well, yes, yes it is the music i like. I don't see the point in including the habit of saying "like" where it's not needed on the internet; the ability to hide habits like that is one of the good things about it. Still, I applaud your ability to not conform in the face of 1426 likes to 53 dislikes.

  • @SkittlesRAWK870 ...That's a quote from a TV show. (Beavis and Butt`Head, where they're REVIEWING this video.) Calm down. I LOVE this song. It's great. Did you not see the quotation marks? Some people are so literal...

  • @BrokenHorn90 he trys but he never can find it ;)

  • @BrokenHorn90 Nice one...lol ♥♥

  • wtf Pulp Fiction?

  • More than twenty years later and this song is STILL awesome! I can remember being at the dance club when they played this and most of the people said "what is this shit?" - but us cool kids loved it!

  • She is so.....let's say "very nice", shall we?? *guilty laugh*

  • First music video I ever saw - sittin there at a friends' house, sometime in the late 1980's, around the time of elementary school, and this comes onto the TV - transfixed, in a word. Took me years to find out who the song was even by. Reminds me of a movie I saw, later, by Salvador Dali.

  • @Gimmal1492 --Probably 'The Andalusian Dog'

  • this is distracting me from my homework..

  • @SUGERBAYBEE

Ahahaha! oh my god, I'm going through the same exact problem at the moment.

  • @SUGERBAYBEE Ha ha same. But with university exam revision so its even worse :(

  • @SUGERBAYBEE YYAAAAAY I'm not the only one who does homework while listening to this~

  • This is awesome!

  • One of the most amazing songs of all time! Of all time!!

  • This lady could beat out any of the so-called 'divas' we've got today, easily. Lady GaGa? Britney Spears? Mariah Carey? I don't think so. Another helping of Siouxsie for me, if you please.

  • @TheJiggsCasey mariah carey is awesome..live...but i might agree..siouxsie has '''''that voice and that look'''''

  • @TheJiggsCasey If you like Siouxsie's style I'd recommend Soap&Skin and Zola Jesus...they're both great young artists! ^^

  • @MrMuramaru

Thanks for the heads-up on that, Muramaru.

  • @TheJiggsCasey Why beat up Gaga, Spears and Carey?

    They CAN sing.

If you wanna bash someone, why not take Kesha, Katy perry, and Eminem for a matter of change.

  • @TheBlackBird11

Them too, BlackBird (good nickname). =)

  • @TheBlackBird11 katy perry can sing, look at her live and eminem doesnt sing he raps, big difference

    learn to have musical tolerance

  • I LOVE WOMEN WITH THAT BLSCK HAIR, SHORT BOB LOOK. ADD BLUE OR GREEN EYES AND-BBBAAAMMMM!!!

  • O.o The music is being played backwards, haha. Rather strange, and I like that. ^_^ It won't be my favourite from Siouxsie, but it's definitely a highlight.

  • @TheSamDracuwolf face to face and swan are great but if you want an epiphany..'swimming horses' by siouxsie. her voice is an eternal orgasm.

  • YES

  • This song is great, the different layers of her voice...

  • 44 people missed the like button. Shame on them.

  • Que verga de rola, la amo.

  • style x

  • Fookin' Great.

  • weird how it sounds like the Jeepers Creepers theme song kinda haha

  • I remember hearing this song for its premier on the radio, and thinking omg... she sold OUT.

Now that im all old n stuff, I love it :)

  • @Stellaspike She NEVER sold out.

  • @lewisner nope, not even during the 'face to face' era.

  • WTF?!! - that is all.

  • This Performance Art Student monstrosity has earned the Beavis-n-ButtHead Seal Of Approval. This clip is only slightly less awful than Swansway - Soul Train.

"Hey ButtHead -- these sheets smell weird."

"huhhuh YEAH... these are my special MONKEY SHEETS..."

  • (((: I like the triangle shadow "she will do what you want her to" and the shadow T, simply brilliant! Love the lyrics and the video :))

  • Peeeeeee - a - Boo!

    I love this cover >___<

  • Apparently this song is supposed to be about how Women are conveyed in the media. I love this band so much though.

  • i love the opening line... "DEAD'S DEAD BABY... DEAD'S DEAD"

  • @JeSuisMonAmiPourTu "Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead." -Bruce Willis, Pulp Fiction.

  • @AdamG1983 what is mentally wrong with you pple anyway ?... YES he is saying "zed's dead..."... so what

  • @JeSuisMonAmiPourTu Foolish woman. Bruce Willis is saying "Zed is dead, baby, Zed's dead.."

  • mad song, guts, attitude, gorgeous!

  • i love this song but it scares the crap out of me cause of the jeppers creppers movie.

  • Remember when Beavis and Butthead had this video on their show... and Beavis was all like: "Peeeek-A-Boooo" Classic, P.S. Siouxsie is sooo hot...=0)~

  • This is a fucking epic song, I always roll w/ my S & the B's.

  • I had this song on a 12" VINYL back in '89 and it still sounds good 20 years later!

  • genious!! have not heard this in years, still sounds amazing!!! xxxx

  • I was just wondering, was the genius QT saying that the zed philosophy is dead and at the same time making a quotation of the mythical PIXIES, the best band ever. Or are you trying to say that rock is dead... Unfortunately it´s a sad reality...

  • Dear vernsace, this tune is is in fact genius! Thank You FlabbyCelt for your comment! Zed is dead baby, zed is dead...

  • What was cool about this song is that the percussion was done backwards, then they reversed the track. So it's as written, but the sound of each beat is backwards... really groundbreaking stuff at the time.

  • I remeber seeing this video on Post Modern Mtv ;)

  • I taught her these dance moves in this video, LOL! Very hotttt!!!!!!

  • She's pretty like Betty Boop!

  • Gran TEMA Gran !!!!

  • It's about a stripper.

  • Sounds 80's, yet, it sounds modern as well.

  • Wow! This songs still kicks ass in the new millenium! Where has all the hard rocking gone. It's all noise now. I want Siouxsie to team up with Joan Jett and kick Parawhore's ass!

  • This is my favorite song to jerk off to.

  • Love the video. Great use of light and it has an unusual nightmare quality.

  • "This is music for people who, like, don't have any friends"

  • @PufferBluntman No this is music for people who have better taste than to like pre-packaged pop crap. this is an artist with talent and imagination. Not some bimbette seing how many clothes she can take off while lip syncing.

  • @morosemoose Hey, tell this to Butthead, not me.

  • forever hot.

  • is this the song from Jeepers Creepers , where they drive in the car behind police car?

  • @12345678974497 yes ;)

  • One of the best stripper songs ever!!!

  • I LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG! THANK YOU FOR POSTING.

  • you have to remember when VHI and MTV played videos because they don't anymore and if they do it's some guy showing you his underwear and half a ton of gold round his neck!!!

  • video genial, en todos los aspectos, creo que es uno de esos videos que son una pequeña obra de arte.

    Fantastico.

  • haha I remember my mom playing this in the car all the time when I was little and I looooved it.

  • anyone remember when Beavis and Butthead made fun of this song in one of their episodes? peeeeeeeak a boo!

  • @cjs33139 i was just thinking that myself PEEEKABOOO!!!

  • @cjs33139 Yes. "I play peek-a-boo with my penis!"
