A couple things you guys are missing. 1.) the g1 doesn't take video, the mytouch takes video 2.) the battery life is about twice as powerful as the g1 3.) the mytouch has a mini SD port. Put a 32 gig miniSD and you'll can store dozens of movies.

Can you do text messaging with pictures and adding sounds like the HTC T-Mobile Shadow? For example, i pick a picture from my gallery, then I chose a ringtone or sound and put together and still have room to text a sentence or 2. My Shadow lets me do that up to 300 KB.

there is a new thing with t-mobile. if you purchase a smartpho9ne, you must purchase a data package like other carriers. and when you do purchase a data package it will be connected with your extended contract. so make sure you really want a smart phone. i bought the dash and HATE IT!!! i have pre-ordered the my touch.
