Also for travelling and smaller items you can use pill holders (you know- where the compartments are divided up into days or times of day? I've been using those for ages and they're easy to organise into colours, and some are detachable strips of boxes so you can choose a few for when you go away and leave the rest at home).

you can also use tackle boxes with multiple layers and handles, this also works well and usually have adjustable compartments
