If you like this band you should check out The klinik world domination, Rhesus Factor body music, or Frontal beweg dich . It's funny that the traditional industrial acts wanted to convey a machine-like factory sound, but the early ebm acts that would come later were much more robotic and monotonous compared to the dynamic sounds of industrial.

They described it as futuristic classical music because the hypothetical instruments of the future would make such alien sounds. There were also other bands that came around the same time as TG such as NON, Zev, Whithouse ect. and it sounded nothing at all like rock music, which is what KMFDM is
