This is a very good book. It will help you up date your understanding of how the post reconstruction Blacks made is happen for the next few generations.

You have to read this book. I was fortunate enough to catch Ms Butler at a book signing at the Civil Rights museum in Memphis. The book will give you chills. It is so, so real.
