  • To answer an earlier post by AradouI666....The singer in question is a guy called Jon Sloman, who originally was the lead vocalist with a great band called Lone Star and then went on to play with Uriah Heep and various other bands after that. Had the pleasure of meeting the man many moons ago....a top fella and and a true rocker, bet he has some stories to tell......

  • I dont think Gary is underrated at all. Most people who know about hard rock and blues respect him as one of the most expressive and talented songwriters and guitarists of the last few decades.

  • I think Gary sings better than the other guy here

  • i think the singer with gary moore on 4:36 is jon sloman, the sesskion keyboardist if im not mistaken

  • Beautiful song of Gary Moore, who is the singer that sing with Gary in 4:36?

  • Thanks for posting this. Saw this when it was first broadcast and it blew me away....and after watching this now, even more so. There maybe some who are faster, flashier and technically better than GM, but for pure feel ( And an often overlooked great voice ) he was and will always be the master as far as I am concerned. A legend in the truel sense of the word. RIP Gary.....back on the streets of Heaven and thank you for giving me my favourite music.

  • I loved him and still do, and am thankful for all the many gems he left behind for us to treasure

  • one of the best fuck ya gary rock on thank you for some of the best of all time

  • dont get it fucked up gary moore is one of the best of all time ...#1---10 with out dought

  • A great sadness came over me the day I heard you died, rest in peace "old warrior", you gave way more than you took. Play on, play on through the darkest night, cuz the road has finally taken you, to a place where everything is gonna be alright. ;o)

  • @genxxxersize you've said this already you big dummy!!,, ;o)

  • RIP, Gary.

  • He was my favourite rock guitarist, became exquisite in the blues.

    I'm growned earding this solo

  • one word pure class rip gaz!!

  • I was absolutley devasted to hear the news of Gary's passing. I've been a dedicated fan for 35 years, I can't believe it. My two favorite Irishman gone now, Rory and Gary,

  • @MrTsmiller I have been a fan for so long too. I just hope drugs were not involved with his death. From all that I have read from those that knew him it doesn't seem like drugs played a part in his death. I got to see him in concert one time. He shouldn't have been the opening performer because he was so much better than Def Leppard and Krokus. He will be missed dearly.

  • Im actually crying writing this, Gary, you ment a lot, Rest In Peace!

  • ...thank you for the music...RIP Gary....

  • Gracias por todo Gary. Descansa en Paz

  • We will miss you, dear Master

  • R.I.P Gary....

  • so aptly said that you cannot wait for tomorrow when tomorrow cannot wait for anybody. adios my guru to the gates of heaven. you are the prophet!!

  • Last week I was thinking of travelling from AUSTRALIA to UK to see the great man, guess it was not to be. Favouritre song is this and Corridors of Power. Cold Hearted comes a close 2nd!

    RIP Gary!!

  • RIP Gary Moore, Corridors Of Power one of my all time favourite rock albums I still remember the first time i removed it from its sleeve and placed it on my turntable from the very first chord of Dont Take Me for A Looser to the final chord of this song every song a classic, your guitar was majestic. You will be sadly missed.

  • rip so young mr moore

  • RIP dude x

  • Amazing performance! Great band w/ Paice and Sloman as well.

    RIP Gary.

  • Still my favourite Gary Moore-Song.

    So much emotion.

In my opinion his singing fits to this song.

  • First time I saw Gary Live was the curtain going back to this song opened with this song with Jon Sloman sat on the keyboards at Reading Festival in 1982. They just blew me away and still do nearly thirty years later.

  • First concert I ever went to by myself, ( as a child). I'm 40 now....... Every song on this album still gives me chills.

  • One of the best Strat-Tone ever.

  • No one that I know of ever accused Gary Moore of being a good singer but, his guitar playing skills speak for themself.

    Enough said.........

  • Gary Moore!!This recored??What can I say??Every one who knew me at the time knew me as Marty Moore..at least in Tahaaroa&Kawhia..

  • Line-up looks like...

    Moore/Sloman/Murray/Airey /Paice.

    Great band !!

  • Tractorlad/yorksmilkchurns...same person...spammer/idiot

  • Just fuck off!! You don´t know anything about music, it seems! I´m a musician, that´s why your comments hurt! Good luck with your life!!

  • What the hell is John Sloman doing, besides ruining the song?

  • Weeeeeell .. he certainly struggles here to reach the notes at 5.24 ... he didn't always sing that bad.

  • i used to play this every sat. morn. until tape broke, so pleased to have found it again, can someone out there tell me the name and any history of organ playing /harmonizer/frontman please??

  • one of my favorite Track. Thank You Gary for all the Years!

  • I completely wore out my vinyl copy of " Corridors of Power" back in the eighties. Was able to find the Cd in the mid ninties. And I still have it, One of my treasures! Alot of memories. Thanks for the post. And thank you, Gary.

  • ?!! He's not underrated.

  • Gary Moore...with strats or les pauls, he is simply amazing!

  • ...I been searching for something that I might never find..--Great vid.

  • Gray Marry me plzzzzzzzzz

  • Gary Moore can play the fucking blues!! I do like his older material when played rock more. His solo records are so good and the guy can sing too! He jams!

  • another truely graet master piece with feeling.... another favorite

  • gary you re my god..with love

  • The best. 10 Beers and a J, and GM sounds like an angel.

  • Ha ha ha. Sounds like it. I'll smoke a couple bowls and have some rum and coke and listen to Gary Moore. Great music to listen to.

  • BTW.... Does anyone know who the second singer is? He blows the high notes (Maybe that's why he wasn't asked back) but I never knew Gary had anyone else sing for him other than Neil Carter

  • The other singer is John Sloman. I saw Gary Moore on this tour in a Newcastle nightclub and having another singer allowed him a bit more freedom to play. John Sloman wasn't on the next tour though!

  • Yes, it always looks easy when a talented person plays/sings/acts etc...when you have to take the spotlight and do it, you either have the goods, or not. This guy blew the high notes-he's a backup singer with long hair....

  • John Sloman is an amazing singer and a musician. He had a flu at the time, imagine how hard it would be if you were in his shoes - he still did it, and considering the circumstances he really did a great job. He is not a quitter and I respect and admire him for that.

  • You are absolutely right-my comment was mean-spirited, I could not sing anywhere near that well, and it's a hard number!

So I apologise to Mr Sloman.

  • This is my Fav. Gary Moore song of all time. It's a CRIME that he doesn't do ANY of his late 70s/early 80s songs anymore. But I guess he thinks he's a 'legit Bluesman' now and it's beneath him. What's he ashamed of? Songs like Victims of the Future & Out in the Fields? Gary should stop running from his past. Also, songs like this and Parisenne Walkways would still fit into his Blues shows (Yes, I know he still does 'Parisenne' Sometimes, but nothing else.

Wake up Gary! Give us what we want ROCK!

  • Gary is the best!!and this song is awesome=) !

  • I saw this tour in 1983 at Tokyo with my girlfriend.I was impressed by his performance and cried.

  • Gary Moore is the best of all time....rock on Gary
