i've tried this and i get a real crisp clean burn from the emulsion, but whenever i run ink through it i somehow get globs of ink connected to the design that weren't burned into the screen. can someone help me?
you can use adobe illutator or coreldraw to name a few they convert your image to vector witch leave it cleaner. if you really want to get in to it look for the RYONET videos. i wont recommend doing it like this video. if you need any help just drop me a massage ill be glad to help you get started
thanks for your response. but what if i cant draw and i need a printer. i would use photoshop to make it then print it on reglar paper...or what kind of paper am i supposed to use for designs
you can use photoshop but for it to come out looking good use a program that uses vector format. no dont use reglar paper use transparency to burn the image on the screen.
once you've made a design on a screen...and you want to make a new design...do you have to get an entirely new screen? or is there a way to clean off the old emulsion?
hi, in your other video you were wearing a shirt with gold writing on it where do i buy gold and chrome (mirror) ink from... i have been looking everywhere please help .. that ink looks amazing
Good job. Your presentation is exactly how you described it at the beginning. I appreciate that your process is the "cheapest" and I'm going to try it out. Thanks.
u say u have an image upon an image how can u print that and then say you want to print with the silver looking ink and gold ink that looks like metal and is real shiny can u do that?
How hard are you pressing with the squeegie? did it take you a lot of practice? I just ruined 4 shirts (3 had too little ink, 1 had too much) and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...I'm using all the same equipment as you I think - Speedball startup kit & waterbased ink...
ya thats what i use..i usually do one cote were i cover the screen VERY lightly with ink so that nothing goes through but the screen is covered. then i i do one hard press through it.. dont be afraid to put a bunch of ink on the screen and make sure u remove the screen softly
Thanks :) I also just discovered another helpful trick - I'm using a metal separater/pallet so I can spray it with hairspray for the shirt to stick and not move around during the printing...it's worked so far...hopefully it doesn't end up messing something else up later...?
Hey good video. Stop by and check out our videos to learn tons about the screen printing process. We are rapidly building the most complete set of screen printing videos on Youtube!
The graphics not hard to get on but you need a negative a black and clear picture. I use photoshop to edit out the white and then get some transparencies like they use on the elmo machine sin school from an officemax or any place that sells office supplies for probably around $4 and just print your black image onto there. thats really it.
You didn't comment on the most important part, which is how to get the design on the screen? Everything else was helpful I guess, but if someone was watching only this they still wouldn't know how to do it.
Hey question, (p.s. i really enjoyed the video very helpful) when you iron it..do you iron directly onto the graphic? Like the paint wont stick to the iron? Or should you use like a paper towel over the shirt?
hey.. you need to have the graphic dry, then you iron it on a dry heat (directly on the graphic) for about 3-4 minutes. then you can bring the heat up ... your looking for when you remove the iron there is smoke that comes out of the ink..
hey thanks for all the comments on my video. just wanted to say that this screen cost 50 dollars, and i used photo emulsion to get the graphics in the screen. i found out that its much better if you wash the screen right after you print..sometime the ink drys and its a pain to get out . cheers :)
will the screening and paint work on leather?

hey.. you need to have the graphic dry, then you iron it on a dry heat (directly on the graphic) for about 3-4 minutes. then you can bring the heat up ... your looking for when you remove the iron there is smoke that comes out of the ink..
