Pick a Key YOU want to use, it's all personal preference my friend.. my disguise Hot key is a button on my Death Adder for example.

I will tell you though, as a very very experienced Hot Key user, sometimes using over 50 for one game.. i've never used the F1 keys, believe me there's a lot to pick from.

Eventually put "stopdemo" in your console to stop the recording and "playdemo" to get a replay.

These might not be the proper commands, as I dont do much demo recording, but yeah, look up your console commands, these can be done on any server also, recording demos cant apparently.

The hitreg is shit in all Valve multiplayer games unfortunately, which I find odd since they obviously put alot of effort into them. The backstab is a pretty extreme example of poorly implemented mechanics however, almost as bad as the charger in l4d2 :D.
