what is the GS button? the "L" button?

On a gameshark, it's the little button on the front. But on an emulator, it's set to one of the keys on your keyboard. I think on Project 64 v1.6, it's originally set to F9.

No, I don't mean the little button on the front of a controller. I mean the little button on the front of a Gameshark. If you don't have one, it's what you use to use cheat codes on an actual N64. You put it in the N64 and then you put the game on top of it. The button is actually called the Gameshark button, but it's abbreviated to GS button. It should be easy to find because the Gameshark only has one button, and that's it.

Well I don't know why it's not appearing on the movie. You just click Tools, Titles and Credits, and then "Add title on the selected clip." Then it should let you put subtitles on the movie.

Well if you're using a gameshark, you just go to the codes for SM64 and select the ones you want by pressing A. Then you go back to the main menu and start game with selected codes. If you're using an emulator, you just click on the box next to the code and when the check mark appears, it's activated.

When you say all these codes are NTSC, does that mean you can't use them on Japanese or European editions?

Anyway, how do you use GS codes with Project 64? I see a GS button option, but nothing happens when I click it, so...

I think only the American version is NTSC but there might be other versions, i'm not sure. Ok to use cheats, push System along the top and then Cheats...  Then the cheat list will come up. You can only add and edit cheats after you enable advanced settings. To do that, click Options then Settings... The click the Options tab and uncheck Hide Advanced Settings. Then when you right click on the cheat list, a box will come up that lets you add or edit cheats.
