I also have the Golden Fleece 60030 with tender and two Talisman coaches. They were a Christmas present from my parents when I was eight or nine back in the early sixties.I have the original lid to the box (the box itself is no more) and the internal packaging for the individual rolling stock. The lid features a fantastic painting of steam locos leaving a station. I also have the transformer that was supplied with the set. I tried it on my nephew's new set and she was off like a rocket. SUPERB!!
@keithwebb1955 I had to take it apart and give my A4 a good service (clean, lube and adjust). The previous owner had not run it since his grandparents sent it (along with other OO locos & rolling-stock) from England some time back in the 1980's
I have two of the Talisman coaches, a bit worse for wear, but still serviceable, as you can see in the video! (I really need to re-shoot this video, I have better gear and the layout's better)
There are a few people in the States with Hornby-Dublo collections. If you want to know more about collecting Dublo Google "HRCA" (Hornby Railway Collectors Association). Over here in the UK it's quite a big society, with over 6,000 members.
I have some of the Dublo 3 rail versions of this model, it's a very good performer. Dublo trains were nothing if not durable!
@JimTLonW6 Thanks letting me know 'bout the HRCA! I've only started exploring their web page. I only have a couple of OO engines, but I used to ha a few Tri-Ang and Hornby pieces in my youth in Australia.
I wish I could help, but the loco is original. Apparently they made both a 2-rail and a 3-rail versions. I believe that mine is model number 2211 - 60030 Golden Fleece 1959 to 1965 (2 rail) - BTW, it's a sweet running old girl!

@mwhkelly It would be great to see any further video of your Golden Fleece.
Your layout looks great compared with what I have. Mine is in the garage and
needs putting away in the winter. It will come out soon however when I video
Golden Fleece and my collection of about nine locos and lots of rolling stock.
I never tire of seeing Golden Fleece in action!!

I have had a Golden Fleece for many years bought used decades ago. It came
with coaches named The Talisman. (Kings Cross to Edinburgh) I researched
this many years ago to find the these were sold as a boxed set ( not all were sold)
I rebuilt my layout several years ago but space saw it dismantled! At age 77 its not
too late is it!!?

Why is this video on Google Earth? I was looking at your house in street view and wondering where the train was. LOL!

hehe... it's mainly a joke, but someone may get a kick out of finding that an English OO scale vintage Hornby loco is alive and well in the USA
