As much as I love musicals and NPH's voice, I don't think I like the idea of a musical for HIMYM. I mean, how is Ted supposed to explain to his kids how a freaking musical about suits and girls took place in the streets of New York? As unrealistic as most of the stuff has been on the show, it's also not been impossible. If the others weren't also involved in the musical, maybe I could accept that Barney got a bunch of people together as a flash mob, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

It's probably not going to be a literal musical, it's probably going to be something in someone's head, or the way someone tells the story.
