@EwenMcPifter If that's the message you took away, I don't know what to tell you but that you must have read a different blog. That or I'm sorry to say that for some reason you didn't put enough of yourself into the understanding or comprehension. Maybe out of fear or a lack of confidence, only you know the answer. Try digging a little deeper under the surface next time before jumping to these types of conclusions and flippant comments. You only do yourself a disservice in the end.

I have shared the gospel with a young man who is gay.. and not once did I ever mention it to him that God hated him. I did share with him the 10 commandments and that he had broken them and that he was guilty before God I asked what did he desrive? that is why Jesus came to die on a cross and to pour out the wrath of God upon His Son Jesus.. the wrath that abide upon this young man.. no were in are talk I mention that God hated him for being gay.. he thank me for sharing with him.

So very powerful. As a black man who doesn't identify in a marginalized society, this message rings true to me on both sides. Sure, I have faced discrimination and hate for the very things I was born with...but in an ironic twist have delivered that same hate to others for other reasons. We are all hurting in some way. There is a saying that goes: Hurt people, hurt people. We must channel our hurts from hate of self or others into love. LOVE. LOVE. It is all we have to stand on.

Christians say "God is love all the time and all the time, God is Love" (or "good") and that is very true. Yet say God hate gays or drug addicts or sinners of any kind. What they forget is that the Christians are also sinners...under grace. God is our Father when we are righteous and when we sin.
