This is a great song! But I feel as if this song focuses on ourselves, when worship is all meant on God. I understand the heart of the writer of this song, that he was really yearning and hungry for Jesus, but we have to remember that it's all about Jesus Christ in our worship. May God bless you All, and may you all mature in Christ, and not live lukewarm Christian lives on this Earth.
Worship is meant for God, which is why i find this song so wonderful. what could be more loving to our father then to confess our need and our hunger for his presence and his love? we come broken and sinful and it is only through him that we can become true worshippers, in word and deed. May God bless you also, brother or sister in the Lord.
God really LOVES to see us hunger and thirst for more of Him! :) That is why He is lifted up by this sing so much. He is exalted, and with this song, we can sing to God, we want more of Him and more and more, and that we want to be with Him! :)
I agree with you. That has become a change in worship music in the past 10-15 years. If you look at old hymns its all about God and his character and what he has done for us. But today it is more about us and what we are seeking, doing. Not saying there is anything wrong with it, just a noticeable change.
interesting--- but i think it might be because we are----laodacean--- and have come to realize that we are naked--- and worse--- we need to implore Him--- because we have ignored Him for so long....
