@TheBlader200 No way, Minardi was way better than HRT. Alonso and Webber managed to do well with Minardis. I don't think HRT will ever have drivers of their caliber.
this was a classic circuit, fuckers took out all the legendary circuits... f1 was the shit back in the day, after 1000 changes in the rules they finally managed to completely fuck it all up.
That's one of those 'yeah, that'll do it...' quick fixes they stuck in F1 after 94. The corner's like a high speed version of the one in Singapore now - just bumpy and probably more dangerous than letting the cars pick up some speed, and adds no real value to overtaking beyond making drivers screw up or spin out.

this must be the worst f1-driver ever, really...And because of that rich ass sucker lots of young talents with no money lost their chance to start a career in one of the minor teams...
He only once had the best car in the field. If anything, that was the only seriously good car he ever drove. That was the Benetton B194, and Jos Verstappen didn't even compete in every single race that year. Infact he shared the second driver seat at the team that year with Jj Lehto & Johnny Herbert. Because of this he only competed in 10 gran prix, and retired from 6 of them. Thats more than half, though admittiley some were of his own causing. But scored two podiums!
Its wast just the races his highest grid position was 6th and if he realy was good, he would be winning races like schumi. And then in all the other results later in his carrrier (admittedly with bad cars) he only scored 7 more points and was outpaced by teamates
Ok, yes you have a point. He was outpaced by his team mates. He didn't really get close to winning in 1994, and he could never live up to Schumacher. I am not trying to make Verstappen sound better than Schumacher, because obviously he was not. But how about when he put the Minardi on pole during Friday practice at the French GP 2003. Yes it is qualifying that matters, not practice. But there he was ahead.
He's from the wrong country. If he had been british or german e.g. he would have gotten into teams with more money and he would have won more races. His rookie year he can't be blamed for retiring races so often. He was very inexperienced .
yeah, exactly. He's hasen't proven a fuck in his whole (way too long) career. Even those japanese moneymen from nowaydays proof more, they have shitty talent as well, but at least they rarely show something. The only way how he managed to come on screen was by crashing or by hampering a driver who's a lap ahead....
@f1diva True... Even though they now have money and are a better team in terms of performance (consistently able to score points, even won a race in 2008) Minardi had spirit. And they brought some great drivers into F1 too (eg. Webber and Alonso).

He was okay in his time at Benetton, but not comparable to other drivers of his time like Hill, Alesi, Schumacher, Berger or Hakkinen.

it's not the same place. although the circuit is rebuilt within the years you can see that rubens' crash was nearly at the end of the lap.

@QuicksilverOJ it is the chicane it still exists...but the curps are not so high and big like 1994 where rubens crashed
katanad1984 5 months ago
@katanad1984 Late comment, but it's actually not the same chicane... Jos crashed at the Variante Alta, Rubens crashed at the Variante Bassa.
The Variante Bassa doesn't exist in the same form as it did in 1994, if I remember correctly. :)

@QuicksilverOJ It is the same chicane. ;) They just put more gras to the right side of the track at the exit.
