If you make more than $250,000 annually you will see an increase taxation on taxable income, NOT including the tax deductable costs for business or education. 3% tax increase on taxable income; so if you make 280,000 dollars for example, you will be paying 900 dollars more (under obama) in taxes each year than someone who is only making $40,000. If you releive the pressure on middle class tax brackets you allow those people to invest more of theior money back into the economy, into small business, into stocks, into educating their children at universities. Every year, Obama will need more money than was spent on the Wall Street bail-out to fund his massive money handout. Some of the funds will be obtained by increasing the tax rate on those making over $250,000 - to a mind-boggling 39.6%. (Would you like to pay $99,000 in federal income taxes on your $250,000 salary? And thats not counting Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, and any state income taxes.) Obama will get even more tax revenue by allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010.

The election isn't even over yet, and already you have forgotten how detrimental the republican financial policy has been for the US? Eight years of Clinton/Gore democratic policy have rendered a budget surplus and an economy in good shape, while eight years of Bush conservative economic policy (FULLY backed by John McSame) will leave nothing but a deep and wide hole in the economy, and billions of taxpayer's money down the drain and into guess-whose pockets.

mcousijn: This economic crisis that we Americans are in now was INITIALLY cause by Clinton and backed by the current democrats (Pelosi, Franks, Reed, Dodd). And Clinton Balancing the Budgert was done by Raising the taxes HE promised he wouldn't during the run up to the his election. Bill Clinton didn't balance the budget. Yes, he was there when it happened. But the record shows that was about the extent of his contribution. NObama will do the same but only worse when it comes to raising taxes.

thats what we do in canada, asshole. If you're making more than 250 a year, then you'll still have more after tax than someone who isnt. I'm sure your taxes will be brought down eventually, but for now, the way your country is has to be helped out by the taxpayer...so the ones with deeper pockets will logically have to take a bigger hit. The Benz is gonna have to wait till after the financial crisis resolves.
