I know this isn't a forum, but I had a question if any care to answer. The short of it, was that I was given primary custody of my kid. X-Wife never showed in court, though she attempted multiple continuations. X has had 2-3 contact calls over the course of 5 1/2 years and now wants to come back into the picture. Would a court sympathize with that enough to award joint custody?

Truth be told, men have been steeping up and being DADS!!! The courts have been really looking at what is in the best interest of the child. Dads out there, FIGHT! FIGHT! and keep FIGHTIN!! for your kids. They will thank you in the long run. Women take advantage of the system. You know it, I know it and the Judge know it. Get a good Attorney and fight for your kids. Don't let anyone get in your way. Please, don't fight for your kids because you THINK you are the better parent. KNOW!

Well, I will destroy my ex-girlfriend. She had our son circumcised without my will and knowledge. She did it ilegally. She named him without asking me. She refuse to talk about technical issues with me. She live on social welfare, she goes to a extremist church, she lives in a "borrowed" room at friends in a ghetto, suburb. She dont speak any swedish and refuse to learn.  She is a bad parent. She have no permenant residency and she is from Africa. Im have everything she has nothing. I will win.

You can't be sure about that. I just watched children get sent back to abuse and neglect. The kids, ages 15 & 12, write letters to the judge and asked to live with the father and told him why. Well, abuse and neglect was good enough for Judge Thomas Baldwin from Carter Co. Oklahoma!

I am a father who has sole legal and physical custody of my 2 daughters. But, it has been a never ending battle. Every year around Febuary when my X-wife and her husband get their income tax return she hires a lawyer and comes up with some reason that Im unfit. Even though she is on average 20,000 behind in child support. It cost me thousands in attorney fees every year.

I settled with evey monday till 7pm and every other weekend friday through monday,every other month I get an extra sunday thrown in so its almost an extra weekend.....Guess what! on 6 months to the day the divorse was final and the end of the review period...she stopped following the judgement...$15,000 in court cost $4800 inback Child support! and her reasoning is I dont read to them enough! now I have to go back to court...

The child was not being "uprooted"!!! He was being transfered to his father's home. Why do people think this is such a traumatic thing? Children are more flexible than you realize. HE IS THE FATHER FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! Mothers are not always all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips. They're not always good mothers either. Besides, the boy is better off with a male role model.

Do a DNA on ALL CHILDREN in your home or you too could have been Sanchoed -- paying for somebody else's kids!

@StoogeWatcher: What authority does Allred have in her ridiculous assertion that non-biological fathers should pay for another's children? She's just an ideological lawyer, and a lawyer with a big, communist mouth at that. Just give the court the one-finger-salute, and tell them NO.

No doubt about it : whther the Father or the Mother, the BETTER parent should have custody of the child, not just automatically the Mother.
