How do you get the music to start at the same time as the lights?
dannyj382 2 years ago
I use the four-channel capability of the computer music player. The front channels play the music. Rear channels send out clicks that tell the controller to update the lights. Click rate depends on the music but 20 Hz is about right.

Do you have dimming capabilities with your lights or is it just on and off?
Penfold8 3 years ago 3
I used solid state relays, so they are just on and off.

You know if you used an optocoupler (MOC3022 I think) and a triac as your Solid State Relay you could get dimming capabilities.
The DIY community have I belong to incorporates this and it works really well!
