@MrMinerdog no in minecraft pre-release 5 you could but in 1.0.0 you cant pick up mobspawners or ice with silk touch, and anyway even if you did pcik up mob spawners in pre-release 5 and you still have them in your 1.0.0 game they become pig spawners as soon as you place them :P

im pretty sure its called the "craftable spawners mod, BUt now that the full versions out it wont work until it's updated

There is a mod that lets you craft spawners with 4 iron, 4 mossy cobblestone, and 1 item that the mob drops ( creeper-gunpowder, cow-leather, zombie pigman-cooked porkchop, etc.)

@MrFrisbee123 You don't. He probably used a map editor, like MCEdit (I'd say an inventory editor, but I don't know of any that lets you give yourself spawners that spawn anything besides pigs).

Since the save files changed, the method I used to edit the spawners doesn't work anymore. I'll have to look into new methods before I post a tutorial and I won't be able to play much Minecraft for several months anyways.

@DeathByNukes you can press q to get rid of blocks and items or you can go close up to an item you want and go to ur inventory and click on the one you want to switch it for and it will automaticly add the new block. or you can make a chest and just keep filling them so ur always free to pickup more.
