  • The PloProf was originally designed for Jacques Cousteau.

  • That's not a beads of rice bracelet. It's a shark mesh bracelet.

  • @AMX647 Yes, Omega produced the original Ploprof many years ago. The just recently reissued this updated version.

  • @AMX647 it's ploprof which translates: plongeur professional = professional diver. do a little research before you review a watch of such history!

  • Just one questions rob:

The Proplof is the same has Ploprof

  • @AMX647 I believe the name of the watch is spelled Ploprof. Not sure is Ploplof is a variation........

  • nice watch, love that band

  • Love that watch, but is there a way to disengage the bezel lock system. I don't like the idea of having to use both hands to move it...

  • congratulations on a fantastic time piece. What a beautiful Omega watch. The look and design of the watch is incredible. I envy you SO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bracelet is refered to as a shark mesh. Yeah, the shark will bite off your arm but it at least the watch will be in one piece!!

  • Yes, it's a great watch. Just before taking the pics I had discussed an IWC that had the "beads of rice" bracelet and got confused on the video. Guess the brain starts to slow down as it ages....Thanks for the comments.
