Black and White Dazzle solved

good video and got me a step closer but I still have a problem, on the AMCAP preview screen its in colour, but just black on my movie maker preview screen, and if I start to record on AMCAP the screen turns black and nothing records but sound. Help anyone?

Try checking the settings on AmCap or ure dazzle software, hopefully this works.

the preview screen, when i record mine does that too. The final product is perfect though.

If you copy my set up, i split the signal so that i can still play through my tv.

Do you mean when you create your clips or when you pause it mid session. As said towards the end of my video, to capture again in colour you need to turn the setting back to NTSC to get the preview and then to SECAM B to get the colour.

the only thing i can suggest is just to set up it again, i know its time consuming and VERY annoying but thats what gay ass NTSC signal does to us gamers in the UK.

Windows movie maker and i run Windows XP.

In amcap, avert your attention to the top bar where file edit and stuff is usually located. There will be a tab that will say devices, click it and a drop down menu will appear. Make sure all devices are set to your capture card so the picture signal is read. Hope this helps.

u got red and white wires? lol sorta obvious, but some people might not understand what the wires are for

The only thing i could recommend is that make sure all wires are properly connected and that all settings on both the dazzle software and capturing software (in my case amcap and WMM) are correct.

Yeah, thats the only down side, you have to repeat it every time you want to record but it is well worth it in the end.

have you set it up correctly, you cant just use WMM straight up. Make sure all the settings on Dazzles' own software is set up correctly, i didnt have them set up and i got the same thing happen.

i cant open windows movie maker if amcap is open cause it says it is currently in use

you should open windows movie maker 1st. get to your preiew screen in balck and white then load up AMcap. you should get a eror message saying some crap lol. once opened, it should appear as a grey screen. Go to devices and click video capture filter and change NTSC to SecamB. Check out the preview box again and it should be in colour. Hope this helps.

thats why i mentioned before, that i get it o work by firstly getting to the balck and white preview screen on WMM where it asks capture etc. Then opening AMcap and chaning the settings to get colour.
