Thanx for posting this one! You know--these Columbia cartoons are about as "underground" as you can get.....the studio's never released them for home video, the characters are almost totally forgotten; and a lot of the attempts at "off-center" comedy don't come off. But they're still a pleasure to watch. Thanx again.
A few of these forgotten screen gems have turned up on nostalgia networks...I saw one just last week which was very reminiscent of Tex Avery's "Jerky Turkey", in fact. You'll find these sandwiched between the Filmation favorites and a bunch of the old UPA and Rankin-Bass shorts from the sixties. A good alternative to the informercials, anime, THAT'S SO RAVEN, and boring nature shows that have taken over Saturday morning.
Very nice. Sounds like a Darrell Calker music score. He went to Columbia for a while when the Lantz studio closed down around 1948.
