Does anybody know of or has Ben Mink's solo album called Foreign Exchange? I would love to hear the song Foreign Exchange the title track again. Haven't heard it in nearly 30 years now.
I saw them play at my high school...yes I said high school, (Lorne Park SS) in the school gymnasium back in 1979 just before this album was released. Ben Mink had already replaced Nash the Slash. It was a great experience.
If you watch the latest DVD release by Rush, one of the interviews shows Neil Peart with an FM shirt on. Martin Deller was one of his favorite drummers at the time.
80's music should have went this route instead of the fluffy new wave crap IMO.
Thanks for the post. This is a must have album like Black Noise is.
what? ben who? what about slash the gnash right? you mean ben mink of k.d. lang mink? wow like,,,,well i remember i was like 16 and it was like 1981 and i was the only kid in my high school ever to have heard of these guys but they were like rush to me,like the rush of what i guess they called prog-rock,well to me it was the real stuff !
I wish there had been a live record (cd) of the City of Fear tour. Awesome---Cameron Hawkins, Ben Mink, and Martin Deller--nothing shy of incredible. I saw them supporting Rush in 1981 on the Moving Pictures tour.
This is great. I've been waiting for someone to start posting FM. Way ahead of their time. Saw these guys in 82. Incredible sound. Marty Deller - One of the greatest unsung drummers. Please post more.
