Everybody saying Yanntek copies Xilent is ...wrong. They just do the same Genre, Ultrafunk, uplifting ' jumbo jet sound' Neurofunk, everything else is different, Yanntek for example breaks the beat ( music 'stops for a millisecond')in every track while Xilent did this in one track ( Skyward I) and i love it xD Both are awesome stop arguing pls ;)
tryng to be xilent but it's just all shit, those who like this are easy listeners. I can't even appreciate by knowing that he did not created anything from this track, he just listened to xilent then tried to do the same... No, forgive me, he just did the same.
@audaxx93 it's true but he still make sick neuro. He's just gonna release on mainstream rec in a few week 2 tracks including tenkai wich are fucking awesome.
Anyway, i don't get how you can copy another artist that much and then be proud and get fame...
@hadri1a1 Yh I already bagged Evolutions per Minute/Tenkai, pretty sick indeed.
Well, lots of artists copy others, sample them, get their inspiration from them,.. Ans naturally their first tracks will sound like the tunes from their 'idols'. It's hard to find your OWN sound when you just started producing on a decent level. Yanntek has some fresh melodies and quite a few producing skills, so just give him time to develop. I totally understand your point tho, but that's just how the world works.
@audaxx93 Producing myself i can tell you, that's not how the world of music works, it's just the easy way to get famous, that's not exactly the same, cuz with that skill he could do something wich no one could tell on it it's the copy of another artits. But he doesn't even try to do something different, he just do exactly the same. I won't appreciate his sounds till he starts have his own style, and so his own ambience and personnality. I can't like an artist who's tryin to be another one.
@audaxx93 and don't tell me "he has been influenced by xilent"
he did not just copied the ambiences, he copied the structure, the breaks, all those little things that make xilent unique, he copied it. That would'nt be so shamy if xilent wasn't a newcomer artist. WTF? newcomers copying newcomers? This guy is just a joke
@hadri1a1 for example, can you tell from were does Xilent has took his inspiration? No you can't. But definitly you could say tam3cord, ammunition ect ect. But he did something so unique with all his inspirations and influence that it is just him and no one can do the same cuz he's working damn hard do to something different from all other artists.
If yanntek had imagination enough he could also do something different from everyone else, since he has the skill.
@hadri1a1 he might uses some similar synths Xilent does, but the ambience of the tracks are different, listen to this while u are stoned and then listen to a track from xilent u will hear and feel the difference of emotion the 2 producers got even more
@hadri1a1 I wouldnt say who likes this is an easy listener, this it not my favorite style at all, but please, it sounds very complex!! even if it would be completely copied, its already hard enough...and yes, it sounds pretty similar, but I also think its more like a same sub-genre, just like neurofunk in drumnbass....there are a lot of producers you can tell they make similar music...
@hadri1a1 stop talking such bullshit. try to produce with a nearly good quality as Yanntek and you might be able to judge about him ;) He's one of my best friends (in real life ;)) and i know that he creats everything he does on his own, he gets much inspiration from Xilent, but he doesn't ''copy'' any of his tracks. And who should be better informed as me? Sorry for the bad english, i'm german :P
I like to laugh at people when they say that dnb and dubstep is monotone, and it is boring. This is one example that it isnt. And all in all, just check a few disco shit. Its all the same, the only thing which makes it a bit *varying* is the vocals.
@Gametube123 That's essentially a worthless comment. That is, anyone who reads this is gonna look at the views and see that it's not 1,111. The closest anyone could've gotten is 1,112.
