I live how the Globe Theatre is in the film, but it wasn't built at the time when Shakespeare was writing "Romeo and Juliet." It was built in 1599 and the first play to be performed on it was "Julius Caesar."

will was married to anne hathaway when he was 18. she was 26. he got her pregnant and a hasty wedding was made. his sonnets point to him being a bi-sexual, which was shown in the movie through cross dressing.

romeo & juliet was written when he was around 33. his most famous plays like Twelfth Night, Macbeth, Hamlet, etc. followed after.

though the movie is inaccurate with certain details, i think the movie did well with molding a love story around the facts.

@Hollowhispers well, actualy women were not in thearter durring Shakespeare s time so cross dressing proves nothing. They HAD to dress as women because there were no woman in the show . As to ole Will s sexuality...there is room for debate on both sides with some strong valid points either way. Regardless, the movie shows him as a real person and I like that

We have no way of knowing how often he went to vist his wife and childern. His sexuality is debateable, ..strong points on both sides of the debate.
