And even though Lasers was not as good as his previous work, what lacked was his intricate style of metaphors, entendres, etc. His message of positive messages/social issues was not absent (Words I Never Said, I'm Beamin, etc). It was not a complete failure, but it was a Fiasco :)

People whining about the Lasers album should realize that no Lupe didn't sell out. But when you're an artist working in the industry sometimes you have to do what the industry says. He didn't have full control over Lasers so quit bitching about it. Regardless of how commercial Lasers was he still pulled it off really well and got in a few of the things he wanted to say. Just be on the lookout for F&L 2. As to kids listening to Lupe, good, maybe they'll learn something, unlike lil wayne fans
