After the nuclear war,the WHOLE WORLD(including Africa and UK)=wasteland.So,all Moscow residents took refuge at the undeground stations(all UNDEGROUND stations in post Soviet and Russian Metros have hermetic blast doors,air and water filters,food and medicaments).After few month of underground living,the survivors began to grow mushrooms and raise pigs and chickens.Stalkers began to brought all useful things brought from the surface.
