My theory is that Capcom only said it was a fake to stop all the hype, like what's happening now. Capcom are pretty secretive when it comes to their games and if there's leaked footage of a game that wasn't meant to be revealed at this moment in time, of course they're gonna say that it's not real. 5 wasnt awful, it just wasnt resident evil. the multiplayer was fun. after 4 i dreamed to have co op in mercenaries and 5 delivered on that. i still do miss the old mercenaries though. they should revive it as classic mode in mercenaries.
