  • One has Dimarzio's and one doesn't.

  • the uv sounds DEFINITELY more hot, worth the price, if you want to buy a used 7620 or a 1527 and put blazes II on it you'll pay almost the same price as a used uv. AND whatever you do to your rg, it will never be a uv... I paid my uv7bk 1200$... the best 1200$ I ever spent. I was almost happy to say to my girlfriend "no trip to europe this year honey"

  • RG7 has a thicker bassier sound.

  • i think when u play with a band uv7 you hear it beter than rg 7 isnt it?

  • want a real hard ass comparison? ibanez RG1527 prestige and UV7 (the one this dudes using) thats fucking hard i have both, still dont know which i like more

  • @deathcore1239 the Ibanez RG1527 and the Ibanez RG7620 are very similair

  • i would love to play that kind of music

  • fai cagare i maiali!

  • i just bought a schecter hellraiser 7 string and.....idk it sounds like a bass sometimes. Maybe it's the pups? idk, maybe my bass is too high....can anyone help?

  • i have schecter C-7, my sounds like bass, too. Scale in schcecter sevenstrings is 26,5". Scale in Ibanez is 25,5". longer strings = more bass

  • no offense but whos seriously going to use the RG7 the way you did?

  • I don't care about it.

I just use my 7string guitars for any standard rock musics.

  • @Grunge00125 A lot of guys i know use the RG7 for Jazz and blues to be honest

  • i don`t get it , don`t they have the same pick-ups ?

i like the Rg better ...

  • Previous one was overdriven.

  • 7620 sounds warmer on clean... give us a overdriven video!!!!! i like the riff btw...

  • can you give some insight on how to do that strum/picking srv technique starting at 30seconds or so?

  • I think muting by left hand is important. The right hand is just always struming all the 7 strings in a constant rhythm.

  • @lazychump

let your fingers loose on the string between notes.

  • @lazychump

let your left hands fingers loose on the string between notes

  • clean and jazzy stuff sound better on the UV and distorsion workd better on the Rg, it gives a more metal sound ..just my opinion , urs can be diff .. cheers bro

  • Not that what you played was bad, cause It wasn't, but you only played them clean...

They both have excellent pickups, an overdriven demo would be great too. even though I own an RG7620 and already know what it sounds like...haha

  • The RG has way better tone quality. Although, the UV is a lot sexier :D

  • the rg seems to have more mids...

  • yea id say the rg sounds nice and heavy

  • i preffer the rg

  • Same pickups and construction, but the UV has the middle pickup and different electrics. Ive tried both to the point of confusion, yet i still favour the RG. UV looks nice though.

  • woo i never noticed where the plugin is at on the UV's pimp!! im used to the rg7620 at the bottom. that tells you there u cant hold the uv between ur legs like a metal guitarist would :D

  • There is a certain difference between the sound of those guitars but somebody would say it's not so big, doesn't matter. But, in my opinion, the matter is the difference of playability and overall quality. I got the rg for a backup of the uv but I never played the rg on stage.

  • by the way im getting a flextone head, i was just wondering i heard the first one is better than the flextone II, whats your opinion??

  • I have never played with FlextoneII so I don't have any opinion. anyway I don't feel any problem with the original Flextone HD and I am completely satisfied with its sound.

  • imo the rg7620 is for more brighter metal sounds, and the uv for like old classy stuff i guess

  • some people say guitars like Ibaneze don't make any difference if we play guitars made of same materials and play in same settings so I made some showcase. Thanks to tell the difference

  • can you send me some tabs for the funky riff ?

  • I sent you the tab but right hand is far much important than left hand in this riff.

  • yeah . thx for the tab :D

  • awesome riff . i think it will inspire me some song , if you allow me to borrow parts of the riff ?

    can't wait for my RG7620 ! sounds beautiful .

  • I'd be happy if I could see a video of a song inspired by my riff :)

  • nice ! thx !

  • could you send me tabs aswell? If so, thank you very much :):)

  • can you send me some tabs for the funky riff ?

  • muh , are you using single coil on the universe ?

i'm pretty sure it would sound almost the same on the neck pickup lol (with coil split it's normal there's a big difference ) both guitars sound great . i'll soon get a 7620 ^^

  • I have no idea why you guys ask me tabs. I think it's easy to find the positions from the video.

Anyway, the middle single pickup on Universe and the tapped neck pickup on RG7620 are completely different ones.

And, it's the point, even if RG7620 has the same pickup layout as Universe, the sound will be completely different.

I can't explain well but that is the fact so I made these showcase.

  • Wait, you tryed to show they sounded completely different by using a different pickup in a different position? Of course thats going to sound different. Or mabye im missing something?

  • So I posted the first showcase I played both two guitars in the same position but somebody asked me to play with less distortion, then I posted this one. I think you can hear something fundamental difference

  • great video can you make a tab of this and send me at my e-mail or my youtube account!please!!!

  • To compare two guitar in crunch sound, I need some short riff without any copyright so I created it just few min ago, off the top of my head.
