these twinn fin and quatro fin are just used for better selling..they are not better than those with the single fin , just made for more extreme looking and of course for more selling!
@kotsioullis That is a very ignorant comment. They are not saying that twin fins are better than single fins its that twin fins are used in a different style of riding to that of a single fin. You cant compare the two and say that twins are better than singles due to how different they are on the wave.
I used to use twin fin configuration sailing in Omaezaki, Japan. Great for messy, fast surf in strong winds, they are extremely loose, using a car analogy, it's like four wheel stearing, the tail turns out as as the nose turns in, teaching you to kick lean in and use the rails. Not for all conditions, but for quick, tight turns they are great.
Not sure how this is marketing crap. Keith talks about the twinnies being different, not better than single fin boards. Sounds pretty grounded and straight up to me. The twins are just allowing a different approach to wave riding. Where's the BS in that? I rode a twin 10 years ago and quite liked it. Can't wait to try the modern twins.
I thought so too but I have been usng one of the new fanatic twins for the last couple of months and I have been really impressed. Not so much better than a single but just a different style. Lotsa fun.
