On his first audition he came out in a crumpled business suit and the crowd was mocking him like they did Susan and America was worse, they started booing him, but instead of running off the stage, he kept singing and his voice is a God given gift that turned the crowd around to where they were giving him a standing ovation like they did Susan. The reason is, the first song the music was too loud and it masked her vocal weakness. The quieter accompaniment in this song clearly showed up her lack of range and power.
Walking onto a stage knowing that millions of people already have certain expectations of you must be nerve wracking. She started a little off with memory but her performance was wonderful considering the pressure I'm sure she must have felt. I am also a Susan Boyle fan so I'm glad she came thru with flying colors.

Simon Cowell, CEO of several record companies (BMG, Syco [maybe others]), thinks she's average? No way! Simon has made a very profitable career out of spotting talent.
Susan is NOT an average singer. This second audition shows she is very nervous. Just Like Simon Cowell said on an interview, he would NOT want to be on Susan Boyle's place on her 2nd and last audition. The WHOLE WORLD is watching her. Her 1st audition is definitely better than this memory but then, I am already a big Susan Boyle fan so whether she performs better or not, the fans that fell in love with her the first time will be loyal to her and definitely be watching and voting for her.
Susan is an amazing talent and is so full of light, humor, warmth and dignity. Light attracts light, darkness attracts darkness. Anyone not attracted to this beautiful soul and wonderful talent.....never will be.

"Memory" is an incredibly difficult song to sing. Except for a shakey first note,Susan did wonderfully! I loved how she grabbed her diaphragm to control the singing;it was coming out too hard and fast right then.The ending gives me goosebumps & teary eyes every time! It's not every day that Simon Cowell gives someone a standing ovation AND apologizes! An ultimate compliment. Susan,I hope you go all the way and get to sing for your Queen. You deserve it. The reason is, the first song the music was too loud and it masked her vocal weakness. The quieter accompaniment in this song clearly showed up her lack of range and power.

Walking onto a stage knowing that millions of people already have certain expectations of you must be nerve wracking. She started a little off with memory but her performance was wonderful considering the pressure I'm sure she must have felt. I am also a Susan Boyle fan so I'm glad she came thru with flying colors.

Sorry my grandad used to be a vocal coach and thinks she sounds distinctly average, he is blind by the way!! ..She is nothing special people are just blowing everything out of proportion, she's ok and just ok.. alot of people can sing just as good if not better .. only difference is they are just more modest about it!!!

Well this average singer is about to win lots of money, perform for the Queen & get a million dollar recording contract. I know good singing when I hear it. So does Amanda Holden (professional judge). Amanda said Susan was better than Elaine Paige. I don't understand how your grandad thinks Susan's voice is average. Simon Cowell, CEO of several record companies (BMG, Syco [maybe others]), thinks she's average? No way! Simon has made a very profitable career out of spotting talent.

Susan is NOT an average singer. This second audition shows she is very nervous. Just Like Simon Cowell said on an interview, he would NOT want to be on Susan Boyle's place on her 2nd and last audition. The WHOLE WORLD is watching her. Her 1st audition is definitely better than this memory but then, I am already a big Susan Boyle fan so whether she performs better or not, the fans that fell in love with her the first time will be loyal to her and definitely be watching and voting for her.

"Memory" is an incredibly difficult song to sing. Except for a shakey first note,Susan did wonderfully! I loved how she grabbed her diaphragm to control the singing;it was coming out too hard and fast right then.The ending gives me goosebumps & teary eyes every time! It's not every day that Simon Cowell gives someone a standing ovation AND apologizes! An ultimate compliment. Susan,I hope you go all the way and get to sing for your Queen. You deserve it. Like you said, you're NOT worthless!
