Triple Trouble boss stages should have some hidden rings. There's a bunch of them up on the spring-trees in Great Turquoise 3, for starters, and there's a buncha rings right at the start in Sunset Park 3.

I think they could just bring Fang back by making him a mercenary for hire. I mean like, he was hired by Robotnik here, but he could just be a character hired for tasks like getting the emeralds, killing Sonic, I dunno. Kinda like a hitman. That would differentiate him from Rouge. A mercenary for hire that can be a crafty thief as opposed to a spy that's a thief? Mercenary does not equal spy.

Actually, Clement, the boss acts of Triple Trouble DO have rings. There's always at least one 10-ring box hidden somewhere in the early part of the stage. And of course Sunset Part 3 gives you 4 rings (or was it 5) right at the beginning when the kickass music starts.
