  • ... " I had it all. Even the glass dishes with tiny bubbles and imperfections, proof they were crafted by the honest, simple, hard-working indigenous peoples of wherever. " quote from the movie Fight Club

  • she's hot : )

  • This is really some marketing gimmick. Putting a pretty face on the work of an ancient art that has nothing to do with the making of denim in the front of the store. 700 Euro for a pair gets a few decent pairs of selvedge jeans .

  • I would like to workout with her on this loom:-)

  • Which was my point exactly...as we already have selvedge denim, with all the benefits of strength, individual and unique finish and all the rest...being made on the original antique looms. So the "other thing" they care about in this instance is the fact it took a woman a few days to weave them by hand. It's not like the cuts are going to be any different than Nudie, APC or even Uniqlo selvedge. But hey, it's their money to waste.

  • LOL, I just can't see the point. Old shuttle looms are already producing real old style, strongly woven selvedge denim - with all the individual character you want from a good Japanese denim. So is this just a status thing? "Look man, my jeans were woven by a hand operated loom!". They must be so expensive. I'll stick with my 15oz Kaihara premium 'all made in Japan' selvedge from Uniqlo, or my APC's...jeans don't come much better quality, and when they do it is for a ridiculous price difference.

  • @slitheen sometimes people care about things other than price.
