You need to take a look at what you are doing... You are leaving notes out at the third section of the solo and out of key at the very last part.... It's a good job but needs improvement... Check my video under butcheryben...
Bill plays with alot of emotion, he uses alot of vibrato, you can usually tell its bill by his style of shredding, i cant think any solo's that bill plays where he uses a wah pedal or any effects.
Amott uses a wah pedal alot, he plays with alot of emotion as well, but he tends bend notes alot more than bill, and amotts solo's are alot easier to play imo.
Yeah dude! That's an awesome song with a great solo that has a lot of feeling in it. If I remember correctly (I can't find my cassette insert right now) that was Amott playing that solo right? Nice job. I should go buy it on CD now I guess

one of the favorite
solos of Bill Steer.Bravo my friend.Does it ends up in whole-half tone scale?

That was Bill Steer's solo, Amott's is the second solo which imo is one of his best with Carcass.

do you know how to tell which one is which? i still can't tell which solo is steer's
shaolinkin 2 years ago
Steer's solo is from 1:03 - 1:25
Amotts is froom 2:44 - 3:07
The times above above are from The heartwork Cd not the video, this video is steer's solo only.

oh ok. that makes sense. thanks for the info. now that i'm thinking about it, I'd agree. Amott's solos are entirely phrased differently.
