  • Those cats have some great chops!

  • Anyone know what 2:19 is?

  • @sword1438 James Bond Theme

  • include Stravinsky!!

  • these guys are like a gods of music. sorry for me bad english

  • WOOOOOOW!!!!!! AMAZING

they are so in tune even with their voices

  • @Andrew1996horns ... as for the "Limitations" of the conventional piston trumpet... I play a custom short-stroke Conn, I can blaze through pretty quick. Take a look for Rafael Mendez playing, well... anything. Its not the horn, its the wind-source behind it.

  • brilliant!

  • Yeah sorry bout that... got a little carried away as i meant to say london horn sound... my appologies.

  • 4:19 - 4:48. Best.

  • @GregBackwards

    Stravinsky - Rite of Spring

    You are welcome.

  • @mzoli1222 biste noch online? hätte da mal eine frage zu euren instrumenten :) gruss

  • Im a french horn player in NYO. And your coment about rotors just isnt true, its about the player... i bet you cant play flight of the bumblebee on your sodding "normal" trumpet! Look up vienna horns and then you will realise how fucking awesome rotors can be!

  • @Andrew1996horns be careful with that... vienna horns dont use rotary valves... but otherwise i totally agree

  • 1:17 is the coolest thing ever

  • 16 year old girl who plays trombone... And this is what I strive for. So people don't make fun of my "joke" instrument that can only play whole notes and half notes. Suck it, we play this shit too.

  • star wars now i'm happy

  • does anyone know what the first trumpet players trumpet is? please reply

  • The guy playing the horn at 0:29 is just plain blasphemous.....God never intended to have trumpet valves on the side instead of the top.

  • @recalcitrist1 They're not valves. They're rotors! Rotors are amazing to play on.

  • @RockstarDaniel Whatever.....those rotors piss off God. God's plan is the 'Fingers On Top Of The Trumpet' plan. Anything else, like rotors or rooters, is the devil's work. I'm surprised that the horn isn't painted red! There's a special section in hell for Rotor Blasphemers.

Btw, you're a rock star? I never heard of you. Hmm.....maybe it's the caffeine in Rockstar Energy drink that makes you feel like a star.

  • @recalcitrist1 You sound like a westboro moralfag, but that's not the point. Rotors are amazing to play on. I myself are not a trumpet player, but as a fellow brass player i think rotors > valves.

  • @RockstarDaniel I'm pretty sure that you also drive a Mazda with a rotary engine, instead of a car with a piston engine, like God intended. Your Mazda is probably red, too.

Aren't you worried that God is going to send you to hell, where nasty men in red suits will be pokin' you in the butt with pitchforks? (I hope that's the only thing with which they're pokin' you.)

  • @recalcitrist1 Wow, are you for real? I don't think God really has a preference on horn shapes, and if he does it's not your place to say which it is.

  • @RegisterAaron Am I for real? Hold on, lemme pinch myself.....yup, I'm for real!

  • @recalcitrist1 I play trumpet and have tried rotors they are way easier to play on and funner and you need to shut up

  • @RaulBernalThird Oh my God! It's obvious that you don't care about pissin' off a Supreme Being.

Btw.....you're "RaulBernalThird?" Is that like the third in the family tree, or a third note in an interval?

  • @recalcitrist1 Family tree and wtf? whats with all this god stuff come down you crazy christian xD

  • @recalcitrist1 You're like some uneducated 9 year old if you believe that about rotors. I'm a brass player and I've played on many an instrument with rotors. once again, take your deluded, incorrect and ignorant comments elsewhere. You probably couldn't restring a rotor thus feeling this unfounded hatred.

  • @BrofessorNeeko You're correct, Bro.....I've never restrung a rotor, or even a rooter, and I have neither the desire nor the inclination. Of course, I'm willing to discuss the scientific string theory, if you'd like.

  • @recalcitrist1 Rotary valve trumpets are cool!!!!!!! Not blasphemous at all just plain awesome!!!

  • @recalcitrist1 I'm confused about what you're basing the blasphemy on, is it because it looks different???

  • Sloppy

  • what's the song at 5:30?

  • What was the last song called?

  • umm.. there were only two movies - star wars and james bond. They had light cavalry, fiddler on the roof, my fair lady, rhapsody in blue, rite of spring... dunno what the singing was, but probably wasn't from a movie. the name of this vid should be changed.

  • I didn't know that Zoltan Kiss wasn't originally in Mnozil brass

  • what was the second first theme played?

  • I love this my main instrument is woodwind but I have respect and love the brass sound.

  • Anyone know where I might acquire the music for this?

  • i play trumpet... i'ts just incredible! i'm stunned!! awesome guys

  • dear God, this makes me want to switch from a woodwind to any brass instrument!!

  • @Zacharias6

even as a sax i can appreciate this...

  • WOW.. what a sound. I've watched this video about 60-70 times. i still get goosebumps at the full sound in the beginning.

  • Lots of fun. Nice to see the Canadian brass gets imitated!

  • thats some good playing

  • I'm sixteen years old boy from Finland and I play trombone. My frinds are like: "L0L, U CANT PLAY COOL MUSIC WITH YOUR WANKHORN!". Then I show them Mnozil brass, and they usually shut the fuck up. : D

  • @H3RKK0 Hyvää on! Olin vaihtooppilas suomeen ja mäki soitan pasuunaa. En kuulostaa hyvältä ku puhun suomea, mutta pasuuna aina on hyvää :)

  • @H3RKK0 Get new friends.

  • I almost died at rhapsody in blue.

  • 1:18... best part!!! and 4:47

  • 4:18 The Rite of Spring. Gotta love it! xD

  • George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue at 5:02

  • and "Leichte Kavallerie" by Franz von Suppé is in at 4:12

  • at 0:30 beginns "leichte Kavalerie"....thats the great thing- finding in Suppe´s melodies the bridge to this modern movie themes.

All goods things even were here allready.... we all are only copying them!

  • @bitisajn Your right it's the beginning of his Overture my bad

  • Well Star Wars, James Bond, Fiddler on the Roof (If I Were a Rich Man), My Fair Lady, Jaws and a few more

  • James Bond is the theme after Star Wars

  • can anyone name all of the movies?

  • @Godooable I'd like too know the themes either. The only one i know is the Star wars theme at the beginning.

  • Its an amazing combination of Movie Themes and Light Cavalry!

  • 1:46 is just awesome. I forgot Sebastian could crank like that when he was with him. Such a fat sound.

  • HAHAHAH THE RITE OF SPRING.

  • i love the die meistersinger in the very beginning

  • Gansch is a fantastic player, but I like the sound of the player next to him more. Maybe its the difference in trumpets, but all of them are still amazing!

  • @theDarthh Yeah his is called a rotary trumpet I believe. It's meant to sound darker

  • @SilverAbsol777 nice!

  • This is awesome! It's more of a "popular tunes" medley than really movie themes ... lots of stuff there from jazz, classical, and even opera/musical mediums.

  • I love how this video showcases Robert Rother's playing! WOW, what talent he has with such taste and a beautiful tone as well as grasp of articulation!

  • soooooooooooo amazingly awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Musically impecable and great showmanship too! How can you beat these guys?

  • everything they play is just immaculate..... it makes me want to cry :'D

  • I think out of all their videos on YouTube this is one of their loudest meatiest videos. Kick ass!!

  • How and the hell can someone NOT like this. PURE talent unlike the dribble all over the radio. This is coming from a Sax player and former Tuba (marching Band) guy!

  • i guess they are exellent arrangeurs but its also amazing how all movie themes seem to fit into the light cavalry ouverture

  • @jones2884 its just like you could put anything into it

  • thick ass sound at 3:20

  • haha did not see if i was a rich men coming

  • i agree totally basstueba

  • "seven" is the best show from Mnozil...they should play it again :)

  • what's the name of the last song??

  • Totally fantastic! I expected to hear a really rousing applause at the end. Too bad it cut off. They earned it!

  • Yess Stravinsky!!! rite of spring

  • who's the guy 2nd guy in from the right? he's a very good bass-baratone :)

  • yes that is thomas gansch on the left

  • Im so confused, can someone help me out, who is who in this video? I cant work out of the guy with the gansch horn at the end is Thomas Gansh or not, it looks like him, but not like him?! I dunno. Can someone tell me who everyone is please? thanks.

  • @hoarp001 This is an earlier incarnation of Mnozil Brass, On the far Left is Thomas Gansch, to the right of him, is someone who is no longer in the group, to His right is Roman Rindberger, then Leonard Paul, then Gerhard Füssl, then someone who is no longer in the group, I believe his name is Ed Partyka, then the Tuba player Wilfred Brandstötter.

  • @duncangreene42 Robert Rother is still with the band, Sebastian Fuchsberger (the trombone) isn't though.

  • @xerox123321 I just didn't think that that looked like Robert Rother. But if it is then that makes sense, Thanks.

  • @xerox123321 Ans thanks for the name for the Trombonist. :)

  • The tuba player must have arms like Schwarzenegger holding that tuba in front of him like that!, He needs a Helicon or a sousaphone!, He's amazing!!

  • Austrain and german is no where near the same......dont talk bout things you dont know KC8YOQ

  • Is that Bill Murray in the red?

  • Simply amazing

  • @nairdaoneub yeah lol thats probably me that said that. hehehe

  • I'm also a bassoonist and I this this is awesome! Makes me jealous that I can't do this.

  • @Zacharias6 im a woodwind and i think its cool actually i hate woodwinds i was assigned woodwind in my band class

  • @Zacharias6

  • What is the song at 5:11

  • @TheMutz88 Rhapsody in Blue

  • At 0:53, wich notes does the trombonist plays?

  • @Proximitus Db

  • @trombonebro You sure it's not C#? XD

  • @cskog001 @trombonebro You're both wrong, it's a Bx (double-sharp)

  • awsome !!!

  • Does anybody know where 3:40min is from?

  • @Bademeister182

    The movie, My Fair Lady

  • Last song is soooooo nice... (from 6:17 to the end) !

    Great job guys. :-)

  • what is the name of the first song?

  • @PhilCollenz that's the opening few bars of the star wars theme tune composed by john williams.

  • Cool they can sing too :)

  • at 5:51 did he Nudge him on Purpose or was that apart of the act?

  • @sinnia12 It's a part of the act.

  • @sinnia12 Lol it was part of the act

  • @ 4:48

    Awesome trombone sound!

  • Hey npianomann. Wilfried already has a wife, and shes good looking!

  • im a trumpet player and every time i watch this video it makes my chops tired by just watching it. its so long yet pretty technically difficult that i just wanna pause the video so i can rest. and yet they play it so freely

  • The tuba player shall forever be alone...

  • @npianomann Wilfried already has a good looking wife!

  • song at 3:15?

  • the woodwinds and strings would be screwed if these guys decided to join an orchestra

  • About Rite of Spring comment - yes, I believe it's in Disney's Fantasia (the original)

  • Tuba was real fat during James Bond theme at 2:37

  • wow nice double tounging at 5:31

  • @tromboneplaya96 Triple tonguing there actually, I believe.

  • @cskog001 5:30 you are refering to? yeah.. triple fucking tonuge :O

  • Ok. there is an arrangement that is mixed with moviethemes with classical themes like the LIght Cavalry.

  • @jerryberglund Yes, seems to be the james bond theme and the light cavalry overture...

  • Rite of Spring is in a movie? 4:18

  • Don't are from movies, Have more song's that don't be from films!

  • what happened to the trombone player with long hair that used to play next to the tuba? What happened to him?

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu I's the other way around. You mean Zoltan, he replaced the guy you see in this vid.

  • @hoogestefan without the 's'

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu ahh, ok. I stand corrected, thanks you.

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu You're welcome.

  • some of these guys are as good vocally as they are instrumentally!! My hat's off to yall

  • This would be God's brass section!

  • i wanted to hear 'Let's all go to the Lobby' :( but whatever, I heard Star Wars so it's all good I guess....

  • Und dann 4:18 Sacre! Unglaublich gut!

  • Wie er's mit Mahler 5te einleitet! der Hammer :)

  • Zoltan was not a MNOZIL BRASS member in this time.

He joined the band after this LIVE :-)

Sebastian Fuchsberger(Trombone) had been a member. His sound is also great!

  • 3:40 What is that theme? I definitely know it, but I can't remember from what movie.

  • Ah! Makes sense, because-his name escapes me- the trumpet player in the middle has hair! :]

  • Awesome! But where was zoltan?

  • @JinnyMic this was before zoltan was a part of the group, i believe

  • @LACROSSEFAN654 makes sense...robert has hair!

  • Gänsehaut, der Wahn!!

  • god, i believe i cant without them :D

  • @awreckingball

These men are innovators.....saying these guys are parading around for chump change is like saying the Blue Man Group are a bunch of failed orchestral percussionists or that the Canadian Brass is full of OK musicians. Simply not the case AT ALL. I know many musicians who could not do this.

  • 7:55 the tuba player's upper jaw...what happened there?

  • @Firestrait most likely irritation from playing the tuba and sweating a lot under bright stage lights

  • @tomknoop that doesn't explain his teeth being...slanted so off like that

  • No they comes from Austria :) (Leider nicht aus Deutschland, aber egal.....XD)

  • lol didn't know stravinsky made a movie ;)

  • hahaha yesss mahler 5 reference from the tbone!

  • As the son of a professional musician, I can agree that most musicians' salaries are far from spectacular. That, however, does not mean that all musicians are poor. Most people don't realize how talented these guys are, what with memorizing all their music, playing it together, sounding EXCELLENT, performing their physical feats and all that, but you know what? Believe what you want to believe, and whenever you meet the Mnozil Brass, you can find out EXACTLY how much they make.

  • @knifenewbie456 The part which comes in at 4:20 is part of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring". It's a long and powerful score, so I can't really tell you exactly which part, but there are quite a few excellent Stravinsky vids... Enjoy!!
