  • Thanks again for these commercials....I actually remember my mom having one of those lipsticks. Love the natural makeup look from the 70's.

  • Does Anybody know who the Male actor is? and the Female narrator does the Barbie Makeup Commerical and my aunt Yolanda remembers this commercials she was 20.

  • beautiful models and amazing clothes. id rub that pure magic on my face if it got my a guy like that.

  • damn.. on 0 :12 that brunnett is hot

  • Oh gosh, when I first saw the icon for this video, for a half second I thought it was Linda Blair from The Exorcist. Scared the crap out of me xD

I kind of wish these hairstyles were back in style, because my hair looks just like that naturally D:

  • OMG the first part of it looked like a Charlie's Angel knockoff. I know it could not be though...odd.

  • thank you,I like this comercial

  • lmfao...please keep you hands away from my magic place mister! the lip gloss looked all melted blegh...

  • Groovy commerical music..back when it was clever to use catchy tunes to keep the product in your head...

  • that guy looks old enough to be her father lol

  • That guy looks totally cool...lucky gal...

If I were a woman, I'd want to have that totally feminine, sexy-type voice of the woman narrating.

  • Wow! That commercial was too Seventies for words!

  • I'm going to tell my girl to buy Pure Magic cosmetics so she can naturally beautiful! I hope she has fun in the magic place because I have to go to work to pay for everything.

  • LMAO.

  • This commercial seems like a rip-off even for 1970. Trying to sell make-up to Hippies, they come on with these fake, "Hippie-look" chicks in the woods, then this guy comes on singing like Ed Ames, then he ends it sounding like Robert Plant with "Stairway to Heaven" type phrasing (e.g.,"And as we wind on down the road"). Was I the only one thinking--yeah, I know where that MAGIC PLACE is. Also--that voice-over chick sounds like a total air-head.

  • @33Mark221

You are quite right about the marketing ploy, although its not really aimed at hippies(Hippies were the counter couture back then, they were looked on with distrust by older people) so much as to the younger generation of girls .

This commercial is a small window to History,as far as what was going on with the Bohemian music and fashion that had by 1970 was entering mainstream society. tho I must disagree with the music, its more Blood Sweat and Tears, than Zeppelin.

  • What is Pure Magic Cosmetics?

  • It was from MaxFactor

  • I like the fake grass they roll out in that "natural" setting.

  • Does anybody else think the woman who does the voice-over sounds familiar?

  • Tina Louise? (aka Ginger)

  • I don't think so, though whoever it is has that breathy Ginger Grant schtick down pat.

  • That is one seriously groovy pop commercial croon!

Love the showmanship in the big finish -- "C'mon and take me to a magic place!"

    Each one a gem, Wookie!

  • so bad it's great
