I can tell this is a great amp for playing G&R, STP and such, but can you also tone it down and get nice bluesy sounds with some low overdrive through your neck pickup to play some Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page kind of blues?
Definetly, the first channel with the gain cranked works great for that or you could even turn the gain down on the second channel for a more crunchier-blues type deal.
i got the 4500 dual reverb as well so i can tell you, 25 watts is FUCKING loud and you can crank the gain and lower the master volume for bedroom play, but its still loud regardless.... the amp really sings when you crank it up though, it's incredibly loud
I got your comment before you removed it. Thanks for the info. I had bids on 2 Marshalls and unbelievably won them both. One was a JCM900 combo which I cancelled my bid cause the other was a Ceriatone Plexi clone I never thought I'd get! But for sure I'd get a 900 next time if that day comes around.

Switched to the 25w setting is it really super loud, or can you get a decent overdrive at low volume for bedroom play.
