My horse was 20 when I got him and the people always jumped up onto his back, and he didnt care, people are under-estimating the strength of a horse.

And by the way, have you ever seen people vaulting on horses? It's not painful for the horse at all. We weren't hitting them hard at all, we were springing from the ground and landing lightly on their backs. Horses used to do much more strenuous activities than carry people, I don't think a 100 lb girl is going to do much damage.

You own a stable for of horses? Do you ever you know um ride them? Because if you did you would know that horses aren't like bunnies. You can't hurt them simply by springing on their backs. If that were true, do you think that people would do vaulting?

must say i agree. horses can be as calm as u think they can be and then surprise you. if you're gonna do it then atleast dont tie em up. if they spook and they're tied up it could really hurt them or you. my friends got hurt doing that kinda of thing on her 15 year old dead broke horse who had never acted up before. shit happens. be careful.

I am careful, and the knot I always ALWAYS use to tie my horses up is a quick release just in case something does happen. I don't need random people on youtube telling me how to handle horses- I've grown up on horseback, I'm a big girl, and I can take care of myself. thanks.

yeah those are my babies! Tex is now about 16 and basically retired unless I give lessons on him, and I'm training Jill for jumping and flatwork because she's got great potential over jumps and she moves too fast on the flat. I also got a new horse Aki, and my friend's horse Peppy is at my house. I'm horse crazy too! Its funny because everybody knows me by horses in some way! I hope you can get a horse, and good luck at your lessons! Hav fun this summer!!!! ^_^

lol my horse is my baby to!! lol i havetwo horses on my land that arnt mine my friend boards them here, but im either getting 2 more or 1 more in about a week, im either getting a 2yo paint gelding (with 2 blue eyes :D :D ) and a 3yo bucksikin or a qh that my friend is giving me that is broke dead idk what is best two pretty unbroke horses that i can train or 1 broke horse that is doomed to one riding style!!?? any suggestions?

that's cool! I'd go with 2 horses (just cuz I'm a horse glutton!) but if you can't afford them both or if you won't be able to commit the time they need to both horses, I'd go with the one. I mean, Tex was only trained as a trail horse. But we did speed with him, and then western pleasure (which he sucked at lol) and then I trained him English myself. I trained him to jump when we didn't think he'd learn... so you never know! I wish you luck tho!!!

lol actually i just got the two today, lol they are gorgeos!! hahaha my horse (the oe i had b4 they came) is bullying them tho i keep having to go and put my horse in the barn, but he figured out how to unlatch the barn lock so im thinking about putting the two in the barn ha

yeah... did you just put them together off the bat? We usually keep the new horse in the roundpen and the others in the pen, then let the new horse into the pasture next to the pen after a day or two so they can talk from afar and then meet over a fence, then we let one of the horses with the new guy and introduce them gradually. We have the same prob with tex, he knows how to unlatch the gate so we had to get a special latch :)

yah we do, but they got ovr it, the only bad thing is the day after they came my horse got REALY bdly hurt, aspen is currently healing from really bad barbeds wire laserations :( the vet said it could be a year to a year and 1/2 till can even get back on his back, :( but we dont have to put him down thats all that matters to me :D

lol. At my old riding school, we had a bunch of idiots running up behind a horse and leap-frogging over their rump into the saddle. Suffice to say, someone soon got hurt. lol.

wow. i just watched this vid all the way through for the first time since i made it and HOLY CRAP WERE MY STIRRUPS SHORT!!!!!!! ugh... i'm sitting here going "chair seat, chair seat, wrong lead, chair seat, lower the stirrups, back straight, shoulders back, toes in, lower the stirrups to get out of the CHAIR SEAT..." wow. oh well. we had fun riding horribly^_^
