I most likely missed out on my last opportunity to catch Roulette Dares live back in April 08'. Buddy of mine wasn't 21 yet trying to get his pre-drinking tendencies fulfilled and as I'm waiting to get inside the venue I can hear Cedric 500 yards away! Still regret missing that performance today, hoping it won't be my last chance!

Actually, Im a big fan of jon theodore, and from what I've seen thomas does a pretty good job on this song!!! Very nice! Of course for the most part he sticks to jons parts, which is kind of what is called for with these deloused song structures, but he does a good job.

i used to feel the same way but if you watch older versions of their live performances john's drums never sounded all that great live either, i prefer thomas's. the only one i've seen where i really liked the way john's sounded was at big day out 04.

Pridgen's great, but every time I listen to the new stuff I feel like he turns the drums into another lead guitar.

And I think after 2 years of listening to almost exclusively TMV, going to concerts, spending money on merchandise, and buying every album since the beginning gives me the right to consider myself a "real fan". Especially since I consider De-loused to be up there with albums like Dark Side of the Moon.

Being a mars volta fan isn't about how much money you spend. It's a way of thinking. If you bought every album you'd realise every one of them is different. If you want someone that just recycles their last album go listen to some Britney or some shit.

It's like evolution, those willing to change are able to survive, those who aren't die off.

Accept pridgen as the beast of a drummer he is, and the amazing new interpretations he's given to older TMV songs.

He also makes the band happy.
