  • Does anyone other than me wonder why he says he broke her heart and made her cry in one verse, but then turns around and questions if she really loved him after he broker her heart and made her cry? *laugh* It still is one of my favorite songs though.

  • Thumbs up for 90s kids who wish they were 60s kids! We could've gotten THIS instead of N'Sync....

  • Despite being in my mid-20's, my Ipod is full of The Drifters, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, The Everly Brothers, etc. Nothing but classic 1950's and early 1960's music for me. Beats anything my generation has produced.

  • i wanna go back to a time where music was like this, lil wayne, drake and all of them, what happened? it's a shame. it really is

  • I sent this link to a girl that wouldn't stop posting about her miscarriage.

  • There was a time in the history of this world in a country where hope thrived in brave people who were imperfect, but they always strived to improve and they were honest about what they felt. There was no faking talent, and absolute morals were widely acknowledged and shared even amidst differences. The Drifters are an example of that time, singing with talent and heart. That time is past and that country is gone, but proof remains of its existence to give hope to future generations.

  • @BMcbugger The Drifters rarely wrote their own songs, they were written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. But I agree with everything you've said, I believe society has gone down the drain.

  • This was the first time strings was added to R&B.

  • This brings back the days man. Playing baseball on the sandlot, fighting the beast, squints kissing that lifeguard, my first time with chewing tobacco, playing baseball under the fireworks, losing my step-dad's babe ruth ball, learning who the sultan of swat really was and making friends with a whole bunch of new kids who always played baseball. Man those were the days man.

  • BA THE FUCK AM

  • People if you are so sick of "today" then help change it! Help bring this amazing culture back to this once great country! Help bring back the 50's 60's 70's hell 80's too!

  • From this to Lil' Wayne...what happened!?

  • @erazaqi AHHH!!! Sir I am offended!

  • @erazaqi Cough Syrup.

  • @erazaqi I ask the same thing

  • @erazaqi money, money, money, money.

  • @erazaqi Really! where did it all go. The time is gone and evolved to crap. Sad....

  • @erazaqi Why does history repeat itself? Why don't people learn lessons from the past? Why does each generation think they know better than the previous generation simply because "times have changed" and "technology has changed"? Why do fools pawn jewelry to buy booze? For those of us that perceive, the best we can do is try to pass on what wisdom we can and hope that at some point in the future another generation will "get it" and shine for as long as they last.

  • @BMcbugger Awesome ! Well written and that is the truth.

  • "Michael Squints Palledorous walked a little taller that day and we had to tip our hats to him. He was lucky she hadn't beat the crap out of him. We wouldn't have blamed her. What he did was sneaky, rotten, low and cool..."

  • THE SANDLOT FOREVER!

  • I really like this but it reminds me so much of puberty and a hard time I was having with peers. Generally I love the Drifters but I think a lot of us have songs that reminds us of crazy things. I am so glad that I blossomed out because the boys talked about me something terrible...too much hair on my head, too skinny, big teeth LOL. I was a hot mess. This is the only song I feel this way about because it was playing EVERYWHERE during that time! : )

  • nice how the top comments are referencing the movie the Sandlot

  • One word describes the Drifters..........F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S ! --Everything they ever did was just pure Genius ! A truly magical group ! THEY might have had more members in their lineup beginning in the early fifties and going far beyond, than 'any' group in history ! It could only have happened in the 50s and1960s !Folks, we will never hear the like of this wonderful music ever again !

  • WENDY PEFFERCORN

  • @biffvonwrinkle mmmmmmm

  • @biffvonwrinkle What movie is that?

  • Sandlot....

  • All that other talk is irrelevant. All there is to say about this song is that it is one of the best song's of all time. The sound will never be recreated. The equipment & enhancement for music is insane & it still cannot come close to these songs recorded on shitty equipment 50 years ago. This music has heart. Todays music has thoughts. Completely different sounds

  • GREAT SONG ...
