How do you get the headphones and system speakers to work?I can only get the head phone to work with alsamixer but ca not control it with the system volume.I can enable the system volume but not both.Any help will be great.
@SlaptMan This was in a virtual machine, so the sound setup isn't quite what it's going to be on a normal system. I'm not really sure on what to do to fix it for you, sorry.
I understood it (from Colorado, USA). A little slower would've been better, but I started getting used to the speech after about a minute into it. Great review!
@lindsaymobil22 ..It's all good. Not too difficult to understand. Realize that people from all over the world are watching this, so exactly what accent should you be using? Answer: Your own! Ha! I wish you well in 2012.
Good informative video. Good clear Scottish accent. Edinburgh maybe? I have had an excellent experience with using PCLINOX OS on my Asus eeePC 901 netbook. Everything worked straight out-of-the box, 3g wlan video etc.
Maybe a tad slow? Dunno. I'd recommend it anyway. Lang may yer lum reek!
@tronkel1 Thank you! Well, not quite Edinburgh ;) I have had good experiences with PCLOS too, good distro, but i do agree, it can be a tad slow, but thats the price to pay for that amount of software! I would recommend it myself, but it wouldn't be a first choice for recommendation for me, I would show a few other distros to someone before i gave them PCLOS :) Cheers! Same tae you!
@lindsaymobil22 thx lindsay, yes I had a feeling it might be a case of just using synaptic, no big deal though, I'm only taking a look at this distro in VBox, just to check it out. imho nothing beats Mint or Ubuntu, Mint 9 is my main OS :-)
He speaks with the Scottish accent. Probably he's from Glasgow.

If your skin is crusty and your house is musty, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
If your mind is weak and your outlook bleak, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
If you're old and your computer will fold, then PCLinuxOS is for you.
I always wondered what it would look like if all the residents of a resthome got together and made their own linux distro.
System Requirements include must be senile and 85 years old to install PCLinuxOS.
