@CilverNightHigh Actually, yes, it is. The earliest recordings, such as those by Georgia Turner or Clarence "Tom" Ashley were known as "Rising Sun Blues." The Animals released it as the "House of the Rising Sun" later on, already the 10th+ recorded version of it. The one of Texas Alexander was actually originally titled just "The Rising Sun," not "Rising Sun Blues."
i know "the house of the rising sun" is a very old,old song...finally i found something closer to the original...thanks buddy for this historical musical moment....thanks brother.
I first heard this one sung by Bob Dylan, very recently actually... As Stewball said, your version gives chills. This is definitely one of my favorite versions.
Your rendition here gave me chills down my spine. man alive!,you've clearly put yourself (mind, body and soul) into this chestnut...resulting in a PURE and INSPIRED performance.
Now,I don't give "Stewball's Stamp of Approval Award" to just any ordinary, run of the mill showcase.
It does my heart a lot of good to bestow this recognition upon you, dear friend, for this achievement in Folk Music Excellence.
Damn man you sure have a great voice
