Hi, i've owned an 08 z 1000 for 4 months,sometimes on windy days when i go over 150 km/h the handle bar is a bit wobbly, is that a normal thing for naked. Did u have steering damper on yours? Were u riding fully tucked in at that speed, almost lying on the tank?

well at this speeds its not a pleasure to ride a Z1000 because the wind pressure is enormous, but up to 140/160 km/h steady its oke for an hour or so.

with normal speeds (120kmh)you wont notice a thing .

I have the ' 08 model for just over 2 weeks now and i've hit 230 so far. I don't know how you experienced it, but after about 160-170 i got the feeling like i got into a wind tunnel and the tiny little flyscreen started to make a huge difference in the wind i caught. I felt like i had less wind resistance at 200+ then when i was at 130-140.

@ Scyzor123: Do you want to drive with a lot of revs (ZX-6R) or do you prefer torque (Z1000)? I've had both and i prefer the Z1000 myself.

i love the handling and great power of the zx10r , and it handeles al lot better on the track. than the Z1000

and i got more wind protection :-)

The Z1000 is a fun bike ,fun with wheelies, great at small road witfh a lot of curves, love the looks of it ,great bike if you dont want too go too fast or get push the bike at the limits on a track

for track days a 600 would be perfect

Bloody hell. The fastest i've been on a naked was 240kph riding a fazer-600. and about 270kph on a 1200-ninja. And i'm telling you the naked felt quiker. All that wind. Hectic. you need a firm and secure helmet or it feels like it'l get sucked right off. Nice video
