Northern Lights "Re-Lit" is epic & this might be my fave of the bunch...gorgeous track & the fact that this type of music is becoming more accessible is not a bad thing...I live in the southeast US & most people here still don't even know Tiesto, needless to say...no clue about Gareth Emery or Above & Beyond & such...but I know them & hope they only get bigger...the music of the future is already here.

I actually disagree. There's a thing in economics called "cool hunting." What it essentially is, is that large corporations shell out millions of dollars each year to smaller firms. These firms in turn go out and survey the population, mainly those younger than 24, and find trends in products for the big corporations to produce. This sounds fine and all, but there's a problem: whatever these companies touch, they kill.

It happens all the time, even in the music industry. Take Tiesto for example, he was the best DJ in the world and then he chased the money. Look at him now. It is unfortunate that this country is caught up on crap top 40, but I could not stand to see trance go down the drain as well. If it becomes popular here, it would be ruined. Sorry for my little rant there, just had to get it off my mind =)

@RedAlien79 I totally understand where you're coming from. I try to be optimistic...but the cynical side of me sees a future where they are no longer marketing to under 24...but under 4 & popular music is determined by the tastes of 3 year olds...right now it's somewhere b/w the 2...& electronic music is gaining ground here...the problem w/ this is heartless opportunism, whether it be corporations or DJ's that try too hard to be trendy...anyone can go on Beatport & get the hottest jams.

@carombw77 that is not my stance. I believe in the power of this music & just like the last days of disco or hair metal...this auto-tuned pop bullshit has got to go & I would love nothing more than to see trance put the nails in the coffin...but, regrettably, I don't think this is something we need to worry about...but I will keep pushing & promoting it wherever I can & as far as Tiesto...cut him some slack. for all he's done for this music, i don't mind him going for the $...cheers.

@varde23 Pop? Get a grip mate - he's one of the best Dj's in the world at the moment playing proper music. I saw his 7 hour set at Sankeys last week and he blew the roof off the place. Started off with his house/prog material, ended playing tracks like OceanLab - Satellite and Mistral. He's got the lot, No.1 for me by long way!

I'm very disappointed of Garuda label because this one must have been a release with many more remixers, and not BONUS TRACK, original is good but I expected more and better remixes....
